The cottage was very nice. The beds were comfortable. I loved the pillows. We thought the beach was closer but it wasn't too bad of a walk to it. We went down and watch the sunset and we were able to see the northern lights. We had good communication with the owner. He would respond right away. Overall we had a good time. I would recommend staying there. I thing we didn't like is that none of the windows had shades or curtains. But I noticed that none of the other houses did either. So I guess that is just a thing.

Very quiet location with a very clean and well equipped residence. Paul was very accommodating with any requests especially with 2 little kids on this trip. Our weather was not the greatest but the comfort of the cottage and local activities made up for it!

A lovely and cozy cottage home tucked away from busy life, only a short walk to the picturesque Michigan lakeshore. Sand & Snow cottage is clean, abounding in comfort and amenities providing for a relaxing vacation. A true home away from home. Host is very helpful and responsive and gave us lots of ideas for favorite restaurants and activities the area has to offer. Outstanding experience overall!

Idyllic fall weekend

The property is situated in an ideal location to enjoy Good Hart, The Tunnel of Trees, Cross Village and Petoskey. We enjoyed the trails adjacent to the property and hunting for stones at the beach. When we weren’t out enjoying the beauty of the area, we were thankful for an extremely clean, cozy home to relax in. The owners are extremely clean, organized, courteous and helpful. I highly recommend their rental.

Best location , beautiful property!

This place was perfect for my family. We stayed during the fall and the property sits right in the middle of the tunnel of trees! In addition, my 2.5 year old and I took walks multiple times during the day to the beach and park! 15 mins to Cross Village and 20 mins to downtown harbor springs. We will be staying again!

Relaxing, clean, and cozy getaway

We booked this home to celebrate my sisters birthday and it was the perfect place. We were nestled in the woods just a quick walk down to the beautiful beach. The whole booking process was extremely easy. Paul was so easy to get a hold of and made us feel extremely welcomed and taken care of. I highly recommend this stay for a stay in beautiful up north.

Wonderful!

Very thoughtfully designed and equipped, with guests' comfort in mind. Super clean, quiet, private. 2 minute walk to the beach. Highly recommend this property, without any hesitation. We loved it! ...And also, for anyone coming from the city, taking a break from a busy life - we slept really well here.

Family Getaway

I booked this cottage for my in-laws, a multi-generational group so they could stay down the road from my family’s place. Paul is more than accommodating with recommendations and communication throughout their stay. One of the kids left behind a stuffed animal but Paul texted us immediately so we could go retrieve it. For our group, the layout was perfect with the bunk beds adjoining one of the queen rooms. The location is so quiet and picturesque, especially if you value time outside of town. Good Hart is a special place both for the people and landscape; can’t recommend it enough.

Family get away

We had the most amazing stay at “Sand and Snow” The cottage is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed! The best part is the beautiful beach with the most stunning sunsets. Staying in the Good Hart area is one of my favorite places in Michigan and Paul's house was so very clean, nice and a great location. He was wonderful to work with and provided many extra amenities that made the stay even better. His house is very very nice!!

Beautiful up north retreat

My family and I loved our stay! Paul was such a great host, it felt like I was borrowing a cabin from a friend. Definitely beats other rentals that are run by big companies. We loved exploring the towns along the Tunnel of Trees, and most of all the short walk to the private beach!

Great first family getaway

Wonderful stay at this beach cottage! Beautiful, private location just a couple minute walk to Lake Michigan and a great sandy beach! We really enjoyed staying here with our 1.5 year old, we very much appreciated all of the accommodations- especially for little ones such as toys, books, stroller, travel crib etc. What a relief not having to pack all of that extra stuff! Thank you Paul & family for a great stay!

Cozy Stay

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this cozy home. We loved that it was so close to the beach and a nature preserve just up the road. The kitchen was very well stocked and the internet was great. We enjoyed meals at Legs Inn in Cross Village and Pond Hill Farm in Harbor Springs and sandwiches from the General Store in Good Hart were handy for picnics. We did not have the TV on much as we were busy outside or reading. Paul was attentive to all our needs. As is the case in this hilly rural area, cell coverage was spotty so be prepared to make internet based calls if need be. You can find a cell tower on Robinson Rd not far away if you really need to make a call via cell. The beach and nature preserves were a big plus and it was fun to visit the Farmer's Market in downtown Harbor Springs. Highly recommend this lovely, clean, well maintained home.

Quiet nook close to sights

Outstanding communication with Paul, he responded within minutes usually and had wonderful recommendations. The kitchen was well stocked with more than we needed. K-cup machine for morning coffee, plenty of firewood, beach toys on request. Exactly what the family needed. The private beach access is to the right of the neighborhood entry, we made that mistake 1 time. Thank you for an amazing stay and look forward to another visit.

Lovely Fall Getaway

Went for a quick weekend getaway to see the fall colors. They were spectacular, as was this cozy secluded beach cottage. Only a brief walk from a relatively private beach where we rock hunted and took in the grandeur of Lake Michigan. The cottage itself is super cute and fully updated with all the modern amenities, including excellent wi-fi. The host, Paul, was responsive and as helpful as can be. 5/5 stars and can't wait to visit again.
