Little cabin atop the mountains
Very cozy cabin with a beautiful view of the mountains and a hot tub in the back. The house was very clean upon arriving and multiple beds allow for multiple families or friends to stay the night! Would recommend for a romantic get away with the wife/ husband!

Sweet Cabin in the woods
Very very clean cabin, with lots of thoughtful touches. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Hot tub that was actually hot, working cozy fire place, great deck with sunset views. Remote work space all set up in the loft. We were very pleased with our stay!

Peaceful weekend getaway
My wife and I spent a long weekend here with another couple. There are a few other houses nearby, but we really didn't see anyone other than when they were coming or going, but we did see a few deer. It was nice just sitting out by the firepit with glasses of wine and just relaxing, and hearing none of the normal city or suburb noises. There was plenty of space in the cabin itself, and everything we needed was there. It was a great place to unwind.

Great Cabin!
My friends and I always choose a new cabin for our annual fall getaway. We've not had a bad experience yet. Mountain Mama's Woodpecker Woods did not disappoint, either! Comfortable, warm, clean, spacious log cabin. It had everything we needed. In fact, it was so relaxing, we never made it to the hot tub. We did visit Harper's Ferry Park and enjoyed walking the hiking trail to the downtown area. :-) We especially loved the close proximity to the Washington, DC Metro area. If there was anything remotely bothersome at all, it was the insects (mostly ladybugs) that seemed to be all around us. But it's a cabin in the middle of the woods, so that's to be expected. Nothing we couldn't handle. We would definitely return.

Outstanding Getaway
This property was perfect for our annual fall getaway. We look for a property with fire pit, hot tub and a great kitchen close to hiking and activities. This place was fabulous….very clean, kitchen is spacious and well stocked and the outdoor hot tub and fire pit were perfect after hiking and sightseeing.days. Directions and information was clear and hosts were incredibly responsive. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend this property!!!!

Loved this cabin
We loved the cabin and had everything we needed for a long weekend getaway. Having the bedroom on the main level with a handicap 19 year old child was such a relief. It was very quiet and relaxing and we loved how close it was to Antietam battlefield and Washington DC. The only little critique I would give is getting down to the hot tub area could be a little easier and the roads up to the cabin are narrow and steep but we had no issues and would definitely be back again. And the listing said no TV but there was a tv in the living area which was great considering it was baseball opening weekend.

We absolutely loved this cabin! It is beautiful inside and the views are great. The property manager was on point whenever I texted to ask any questions. Check in was a breeze. The cabin is so close to Charles Town yet you feel like you are so far away. The hot tub was wonderful and so was the firepit. We will definitely be back

Quiet Get-Away
This house was perfect for my family to spend some quality time together. The lack of TV was not an issue. We played games, laughed, talked, and enjoyed the scenery. It is close to Harpers Ferry and Charles Town, but not too close, about a 20 minute drive. The house had everything we needed. It will be on our list of places to return to.

Perfect Cabin Getaway
We wanted a cabin in the woods close to Harpers Ferry and Antietam. This one worked very well for us. Close but secluded. Cabin and all amenities were very nice (decor/furnishings etc). They had all the comforts of home. We only needed to bring food, drinks and clothes! Wifi worked well-which was good-since there was no tv. It was cooler and rained most of our stay-so we made good use of the fireplace. Got to see deer every day and evening. We did have an issue with the door lock when we first arrived- but we called the property manager and they updated the code. No worries after that. Wanted to stay longer-but home, pets and jobs were calling. Thank you for the nice getaway!
