The condo was great with an ocean view. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the condo is on a raised first floor so we could see over the dunes to the ocean. We stayed off season (December 18-21) so it was very quiet, no issues with parking or loud neighbors. The unit came with bath towels and sheets. Also in the unit were: 2 rolls of TP, 1 roll of paper towels, 2 dishwasher pods, hand soap, dish soap, 3 packs of laundry soap and 2 garbage bags.
The heat in the unit couldn’t be set to anything higher than 71 degrees. The walkways are right outside the bedroom so we could hear people (rarely) walking by. Sitting on the balcony all we could hear were the waves. The unit is directly across from the elevator which is great for moving in and out, but could be noisy if the building is busy. The unit could use some door mats at the front and balcony doors to catch some of the sand. The bedroom needs a second nightstand as well as extra pillowcases for the extra pillows. The unit has a drip coffee maker that works even though the hot plate is very rusty.
We did find that coming in the off season made finding open restaurants a little difficult. We did catch the Snack Shop by the Ocracoke Ferry on its last day. The food was fabulous! All the other restaurants in Hatteras Village were closed, so we headed to Frisco and ate at the Tavern on 12. I highly recommend the pimento mac and cheese!
