Cabin, location, setting, and price were all perfect. Only the weather did not cooperate.
We were two adults with two children in mid June. Our goals were hiking, running in the mountains, and maybe some open water swimming. We succeeded with most, but in the rain. There is an excellent nearby trail with many wood carvings and sculptures, a little chapel, and an old mill. The children had a lot of fun there.
The cabin was a perfect refuge and base for exploring the nearby hills and trails. It was spacious, clean, and with beautifully designed woodwork and a grass roof. There are two bedrooms, plus a loft with room for 2-4 people (but no blinds for the summer sunlight in the loft).
If I had to think of any drawbacks or things to warn a potential guest about, it would only be that this cabin is out-of-the-way, but that is also part of the attraction. There is only one small shop in town, with very limited opening hours. The roads are hilly and winding, and would not be great to travel on in bad weather. Other than that, this place was perfect. We only with we had more time to stay longer.
