The photos and description and reviews of this house made us select this one over any others in the area. However, both families were really disappointed. There’s a key in the lock box to get in, which made it easy. But there were supposed to be extra keys in the house, and there was only one extra key for our group. The photo showed a large table and several couches and made it look as though this was a lakefront house. I would call it more of a small cottage on the lake. It’s pretty beat up - the furniture was really beat up, pots and pans in the kitchen were really old and super worn. the main bathroom tub didn’t drain at all so you were standing dirty bathwater while showering. The other bathroom had so many spiders that I got tired of killing them, and didn’t even keep my bath stuff in there. The cushions to the outdoor furniture were so dirty and gross that I wanted to just go buy new ones for the house, and just leave them there. And the chairs to that outdoor patio table are so beat up they’re rusted and have holes in them. When we learned we had an issue with the WiFi, we reached out to the owners, who didn't get back to us until the next morning. By then, we reset everything and rewired it properly, and had it working again. The train that comes at 3:11am and then every 15 minutes until 7am, was not helping the situation - I'm sure the noise was bouncing off the water, but it sounded like it was going to come into the house - EVERY. MORNING. Not recommended.
