Unexpected Lack of Amenities

The Horse Shu is a very old hotel that desperately needs to be renovated. However, the things the room was lacking, compared to most hotels today, were a mini fridge and a microwave in the room. They also had sagging mattresses on the beds and only a sheet and a very thin top blanket. Very cold in the winter unless you cranked the heat up in the room.

The hotel was okay, definitely mediocore at best. It's a shame that there isn't any thing to do except gamble. Kareeokee or a spa would have been great. One can only gamble do much.

The staff cancelled my reservation because I booked on expedia right in front of them to get a discount. I then contacted Expedia they tried for 20 minutes to get someone on the phone. 3 people were standing around. There was no one at the counter the entire time I was there. They did not want my business. Very rude!

It was frustrating not to be able to call front desk as room phone had no directions on it. Discovered early am that shower didn’t work, but couldn’t reach front desk until we checked out. Food in the desert room was very good with great portions for the price staff was friendly. Lots of pillows on the bed, but unfortunately all the same, stuffed full with no softer ones. Room very clean
