We had a great stay at Studio 19, which served as our restful retreat between visits to Joshua Tree national park and stops in town for meals at both Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms.
Communication with the host was fantastic before, during, and after our stay. The location is super convenient for visits to the park, while being in a VERY quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Unobstructed views and clear skies to be taken in from the front patio seating was very much appreciated after a long day of hiking.
The weather was moderately cold at night (~35) and I was impressed at how effective the AC/Heater was at keeping the entire house at a very comfortable temperature. You can tell that Studio 19 is very well insulated against drafts.
As mentioned in the listing, the front patio is virtually all glass and without any curtains. Being a studio setup, that means you can see into the bedroom from outside. It didn't bother me, but something to note if you plan a visit. I thought it would be cool if there was at least an option for more privacy, but at the end of the day it didn't bother me and I knew this in advance.
Outside of this, the grounds are really kept in pristine condition. The kitchen is very well equipped with cookware/serveware. The whole vibe and music Studio theme is present while not being overdone. It's a great spot for a couple to hang out and relax in. No comment on the grill, since I didn't end up using it.
Definitely would stay again.
