From the moment we arrived at the cottage, we knew we were going to love it. It is very secluded and private - surrounded by lush, tropical plants. It is a much different vibe than the resorts in Kona town or Waikoloa Village.
We were greeted by the resident native pheasants, got settled, and basked in the ambient sounds from the deck and porch. It was raining and perfect.
Kitchen and bath were well stocked. The hosts provided clear communication, but otherwise gave us outstanding privacy.
The cottage is the opposite of "beach vibe" and so complementary perfect after all day at the beach and in the water. Although it feels secluded, the cottage is very convenient to shopping, airport, and Kona town.
The cottage will be on the top of the list for future visits to Kona.
