I was surprised to learn, at check-in, that I was required to pay a $100 deposit. I told the clerk this was not mentioned on the website and asked for some proof this was an actual policy. He simply said it is the policy and it would be returned in "3-5 business days". That was 8 days ago, and it has not been returned.
Second, I did notice the clerk was wearing a winter coat and the lobby was very cold (I think it was about 12° on Feb 20) but I was not expecting the Continental Breakfast to be cold. The pan, holding pancakes, was plugged in but the dial was set at 0. Good, thawed pancakes but a little warmth would have made them even better on that frigid day.
