Great Spot
Enjoyed this beautiful property. Spectacular view of Antietam Battlefield. Great spot for Civil War enthusiasts who will enjoy this high lookout for the Union perspective. Was great for our small family reunion. Nice gathering spaces and several away spots for individual privacy.

Lovely But Chilly
As have other visitors before us, we loved the view. The layout of the house worked well for us, too, as did its proximity to interesting historical sites.The only problem was that the house was very cold when we arrived, and we had trouble getting it to warm up to an acceptable level (68-70 F). We finally figured it out on our second day after much fiddling with the thermostat. A guide to the system would be helpful for anyone staying in cold or hot weather.

Great view, great cabin
Cabin is pretty much everything the pictures make it out to be. Private, wooded backyard with an outdoor area, and great views of Antietam from both inside and outside the cabin.

Amazing view of Antietam
This property has a beautiful, unobstructed view of Antietam. We were an extended family group of 8. The house was very well laid out for an adults and kids with two living spaces. The house was updated, very clean and nicely decorated. It was well stocked in most areas. The only problem was there were no extra towels (only 1 per person) and no extra blankets. The beds only had a light weight comforter and it was cold at night.

Fall Family Getaway
We had a great time at this lovely cabin. We found it easily and it was in a great location to explore Shepherdstown and Harper's Ferry. The rooms are comfortable and the view spectacular!

We enjoyed the property, which was incredibly clean and stocked with things like local coffee beans, bath/shower supplies, cookware, and utensils. Our group enjoyed the amazing view of the Antietam battlefield. Sunsets were a real treat. Would love to stay here again.

Amazing Property
We used the house for a retreat for myself and three adult sons. The house was clean, well stocked, and the host was very accessible and helpful. I've rented many homes and cabins over the years, and this was definitely the best experience I've had.

Nice weekend getaway
Planned a visit to Shepherdstown, Antietam and Harpers Ferry with my family and friends. This was an excellent central location for all our activities. The house was clean and comfortable with plenty of room to retreat if you needed to step away. My 2 sons enjoyed the downstairs game room and having their bedroom/bathroom in their space while the adults congregated in the kitchen and on the deck. The evening sunsets were beautiful. Highly recommend!

Short vacation
Great property and fantastic place for my wife and I to get away for a few days. Quiet and secluded, yet close to Antietam Battlefield and other attractions. House was fantastic, clean with great indoor and outdoor spaces. Outdoor views were as spectacular as advertised. Owners were friendly, accessible, easy to communicate with and check in was as easy as we’ve ever had. Would highly recommend this to anyone, whether it’s a weekend for a couple or a larger family!

Great Retreat
We stayed at one of their other rentals last year and it didn't disappoint so were excited about this one. Breathtaking view!! The house is updated, spotlessly clean and very spacious! Loved the lower level rec room! Communication with Mountain Momma was great! We thoroughly enjoyed our retreat there and will definitely rent from them again.

Beautiful and breathtaking!
Amazing view!! Unfortunately, it was rainy a lot of the week and the fog covered the view but the times it was showing was breathtaking! The house was really pretty and had lots of room! Very modern. I’d recommend this for a relaxing getaway.

Wonderful Place
I stayed here recently with a few family members, and it was a beautiful, clean, relaxing home. The view from the deck is more stunning than the pictures! The house was set up perfectly to have a master bedroom/bath on the first and third floors. The living areas were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We were also within driving distance to many places that we toured during our stay: Washington DC, Shenandoah National Park, Mount Vernon, Gettysburg, and of course the Antietam battlefield and Harpers Ferry, which were very close by. We went to brunch in Baltimore on the inner harbor, and also found a great Italian restaurant close to the house (Jeovani’s Pizzeria in Boonsboro). The check in/out process was easy, and Mountain Mama staff were prompt and responsive to our inquiries. Our only regret is not adding enough days to our trip to chill out on the beautiful deck and lower patio! We’ll do that next time for sure!

Our stay at this property couldn’t have been more perfect. The house is lovely and is spotlessly clean. The view of the battlefield is spectacular. Perfect get away!

A perfect weekend getaway
We absolutely loved our stay. The moment you walk in the front door you are greeted by the beautiful view off the back of the house thanks to the wall of windows. The house was impeccably clean, well stocked with cooking supplies, bedrooms were comfortable and the general vibe of the place was relaxing. We will definitely return.
