My new favorite spot at the Kern
I've used Vrbo to find rentals for years. This is the first time the property owner had communicated with me around check in time to make sure everything was perfect and to assure us they are there to help. Both Carol and Rod were quick in response and extremely helpful with any questions I had. The property itself was breathtaking. The hot tub under the string lights made for a beautiful night. My favorite part was the seating by the river for early morning peace and quiet. I hope we can return again for our future kern river trips. Thank you Rod and Carol for hosting such a beautiful rental.

We stayed in August 2024, visiting from Indiana. The property is amazing! We swam in the river every day and spent the evenings cooking out, roasting marshmallows, and soaking in the hot tub. The hosts checked in with us to make sure we didn't need anything and even suggested additional swimming areas near by. Cabin had everything we needed, everything was good quality, and the beds were very comfortable. Overall a wonderful place to stay. We drove north to the Sequoias and it was a quick drive with beautiful lookouts along the way. Highly recommend this propery!

Great Accommodations and Fishing Spot
The cabin is a great stay with all the features you’d hope for. The pictures don’t do it justice. But the location is a hidden gem for those interested in fishing. The “Bubbles Beach” location, about a 7 minute easy trail walk away is a perfect “honey hole” for trout. Easy and sandy beach access makes it convenient to reel in and land your fish but its location at the mouth of two converging rivers make it a perfect spot for trout to hang out and wait for food. We stayed there most of the time and didn’t even need to venture out looking for other spots along the river. Very private and peaceful location. Would love to return.

The property was perfect for my husband and I and our 2 big dogs. Lots of room for the dogs to roam around and explore a little. The house is fully supplied with all sorts of amenities. All you need to bring is your food and sunblock. Will definitely rebook this site again. Loved it!!

Girls Trip
There are not enough great things to say about our trip to The River House! The location is spectacular. The house itself has everything you could possibly think of needing on vacation. It is close to town. The hosts were wonderful and gave us so many recommendations for hikes, adventures, and eating. If I had any questions they were quick to respond. I only wish we had more time there. Definitely wanting to take a trip back!!!! Thanks so much :) I wish I could give 10 stars.

Well stocked and comfortable/cozy cabin right on the river. We loved listening to the sound of the rushing water and the views of the hills beyond are gorgeous! Definitely would recommend this place and would stay there again!

Great House, lovely yard, sound of rushing river from the back deck was so soothing. We spend most of our time outdoors enjoying the amenities offered at this location. Carol & Rod were very responsive & wonderful hosts. They have thought of everything you might need in kitchen & bathrooms. Even had a book light in one of the bedroom nightstands! This was the exact kind of getaway my Husband and I needed. Can't wait to book again!

Spring time at River Willow
We had a lovely stay at the river willow house. All lovely and cozy design throughout. We remarked on how it smelled good as we walked in the first time. Our kids had a great time “camping out” in the quaint loft space, and exploring the expansive river front property. Looking forward to future visits. The property owner was kind enough to offer to send a personal item accidentally left behind. Great experience all around.

Beyond words!
If your looking for everything that The kern river has to offer. Look no further. The River Willow Cabin gives you your own private area of the river for you to enjoy. The cabin is very comfortable and the owners have offered every little item to make your stay there comfortable. My family spent my of our time there just listening to the river and sipping on coffee. My family all commented on missing the place after checking out. The kitchen is complete with everything to make great meal there. Everything just seemed easy and easy going and this is a reflection of the owners attention to detail. Thank you for creating a truly relaxing stay at your beautiful home.

Exactly what we were looking for on our gateway trip. We didn't have to go out the river is within walking distance and so is the convenience store in town. Would definitely recommend. The place is just beautiful. Would definitely look into booking again!
