Our biggest problem with this property is that it was falsely advertised. The VRBO listing indicated that it had AC but it did not... not even a window unit, fan, or anything. We booked this property for July 4th weekend with temperatures in the 80-90 range. We were traveling with small children and older grandparents who needed AC for health reasons, so this was a disaster. Attempting to reach and communicate with Vacasa took an entire day of our vacation (waiting on hold and being bounced from person to person, most of whom had no answers). 2 days into our trip we were finally informed that the location does not have AC, the listing was wrong, there were no other locations available, and we would only be reimbursed $25/day for this inconvenience and false advertisement. The property manager and maintenance folks were kind enough to bring fans to us during our stay, but Vacasa and VRBO were absolutely despicable in how they handled this situation. We actually checked out a day early (which also was not compensated for) due to inability to tolerate daytime temps in the home. Buyer beware. After investigation we found that this property has been rented for years, yet there were no reviews available on VRBO.
In terms of the actual property there are pros and cons:
Pros: location, beauty, cleanliness, plenty of towels and linens, amazing hot tub, very kind and responsive property managers.
Cons: no AC, no real yard for kids to play in (grass would be nice), very unstable wifi (sound/video on TVs was constantly interrupted; this made watching movies in theater room impossible), only 1 small roll of paper towels provided, ice maker did not function, real wood not allowed in fireplace, pots/pans were dirty, no TVs in bedrooms or living room, ambient heating in lower level took 12 hours to warm up (owners should turn on lower level heat 12 hrs prior to check-in. It was literally freezing for the first day),
