A gorgeous getaway amongst the trees. The place is quiet, secluded, simple but beautifully presented. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom/laundry were well equipped with a washer/dryer, a walk in shower portable ironing board and good iron. The kitchen was equipped simply but adequately, and was very clean. Plenty of beds, a couple of TV’s with Netflix, a great verandah to enjoy the birdlife/wildlife, and a little lounge/dining area with a fireplace should the weather be inclement.
( Just a note that entry to the house required one step up onto the verandah. Also the house is situated on a bed of limestone rocks- the driveway is great and easy to access, however, there is no garden as such- but it is pretty fantastic being surrounded by bushland!- I love the cubby made of sticks!)
Kingscote Centre is about an 8 minute drive.
We had efficient message-only communication with the host which gave us all the info we needed. The keypad lock is simple to use.
The only slightly negative comment is-speaking as a someone who is 160cm, the bathroom sink is a little high to reach. Children will need a chair.
The bathroom is on the main floor, but the nicest bedroom is upstairs- which might impact some people.
On a positive side- how wonderful to hear the Stone Curlews and Mopoke owl calling during the night!
A great stay, thank you!
