Not the best experience. Reception staff do not bother to acknowledge you are waiting to check in. She was on the phone but then continued to move pieces of paper around the Reception area. Still no acknowledgement to myself or the other person waiting.
Mattresses seemed quite old and sagging.
Then there was an unfortunate accident in the night. My grandson sleep walked ( not done since a toddler. Can only imagine he was disorientated. ) into to tv cabinet. The tv was on top as too big to fit inside.
It toppeled over and unfortunately broke.
I went to Reception early that morning to explain whst had happened. No one seemed to know what their policy was regarding the accident.
They confirmed my details and said they would call later.
They did and to my shock charged me £250 for an old tv. I was told that was the price and i had to pay it immediately in line with thier policy (which no one knew earlier.) I paid it even though i was shocked at the price. At no point did any staff ask if my grandson was ok.
I also suggested that they look at possibly putting the tvs on the wall in future to prevent this happening again. I was abruptly told thats not what they do.
This was a family room i stayed in my grandson is a teen. What if this happened to a young child?. My concern is that they had no interest in making the family room safer.
Like i said this was an accident. I understand damages need to be payed for but also found the price excessive.
