Our stay at the VACASA-managed property on Kauai was fraught with problems from the beginning. Firstly, when attempting to enter the unit with a code they texted me didn't work. Checking my e-mail I found two separate messages with two different codes, neither of them worked. I called their 800 number and talked to someone who gave me 3 different codes, with the last one finally admitting us. Secondly, the master bathroom floor had dirt all around the baseboard and hairs on the floor. Plus, the exhaust fan timer switch was broken. Then the TV would not receive all the channels! After calling VACASA again, they sent a guy out to repair the switch and help with the TV. He was a great guy and quite helpful. He had to replace the timer with a switch because the local hardware store didn't have one. He also called Spectrum Cable and discovered that a previous guest had messed-up the cable box settings, which he straightened out. Midway into our stay we were running out of laundry detergent and trash bags. When I texted VACASA they told me "We give you a starter supply. More is up to the guest." So what is my cleaning deposit for??? Every other unit we've stayed in at Pili Mai (NOT VACASA-managed!) has always provided adequate supplies. As we were leving the unit one day we bumped into the lady who does the inspections on the units post-checkout. She was very nice as she listened to our woes and even gave us some laundry pods! Wil NEVER STAY AT A VACASA-MANAGED UNIT!!!
