The location for us was perfect with close access to wine country and Windsor as well. The basement unit in this quite new home, was spotless and bright with comfortable bedrooms. However, torn screens, no screen door, a horde of flies to kill with our own spray, kept us from opening the door and windows on a fresh and beautiful day. The back garden is beautiful, backed by a golf course and although it was clear we were not able to use the pool, it would have been lovely to have had a chair or two in a corner to enjoy being outside. The huge main room had no carpet or soft furnishings to deaden the echo, and the smallish tv was about 20’ from the settee. We were unable to watch anything at all, because the codes were not made available to us, even after we asked for them. Joseph, who is very kind, and recovering from surgery did try, but there was no follow up.
This lovely new home is not soundproof at all, and every step and conversation was heard above us. The window wells along the path really need to have a grate. A warning about them is not enough. I wish them success and a few tweaks for the comfort of their guests would make a huge difference.
