Awesome house for a crowd not looking for anything fancy. I visited the area for a reunion with college friends. We were a bunch of dudes looking for a place that could accommodate our group size and offer space to spread out and keep us entertained, and this house met the mark easily.
The road to get to the property is unpaved in sections, so make sure you’re comfortable driving on various surfaces and winding roads. There is ample parking for vehicles on site, but you’ll have to navigate a relatively steep and gently turning driveway, so I wouldn’t bring an RV even though the host told us that we could.
The furniture, decks, and spiral staircases have all been heavily worn, but everything felt reasonably safe to use. This house does not have accessibility features and will not work for groups that include anyone with reduced mobility.
It rained during our stay, so the deck spaces and the forest lounge weren’t used as much as we’d have liked, but were terrific features that add a lot of interest to the property.
Communication with the host was consistent and easy. House rules are entirely reasonable and cleanup was a breeze thanks to plenty of trash cans.
All told this is a good house for outdoorsy groups who don’t expect or want all the finer points of a well-stocked and appointed vacation rental. Looking for a place to sleep, shower, and play beer pong? This is it.
