I've stayed at a few places that promised a peaceful area and quaint cabin, this one really delivered. The area is bucolic: dirt roads, beautifully maintained farmhouses, horses, cows. All the people I encountered could not have been nicer. I want to move here. Plenty of hiking spots, good places to eat, antiques, farms.
As for the cabin itself: Location is perfect. Once you pull off the road, the only other property is the owners home. It added to the feeling of safety and welcomeness, yet was far enough away that we never saw them. The cabin itself is great. I'm always cold, and there wasn't a draft in the place! The pictures didn't do it justice. Everything seemed very well thought out, good eye for aesthetic. The shower was great, which is one of those luxuries I'm always looking for. Just looking at the stars and listening to the coyotes, I could do that all night.
We went for a wedding anniversary, but this place would also be a blast for families, friends, heck I'd maybe even come here with just my dog!
Hosts were super responsive to questions, even in the evening, and recommended some good spots to us. Very easy to recommend without any caveats.
