Wonderful weekend stay

The home was perfect for our trip to Hanging Rock State Park. The owners paid every attention to detail and we had everything we needed. The Home was very clean and organized. Check in and out was a breeze and the owners were very accommodating. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Clean and well stocked house

The property was very clean and well stocked. If you’re looking for privacy this is a good place to stay. The kids could play in the yard without worrying about traffic. I appreciated the firewood being on hand because I can never seem to find firewood when we go on vacation. We would definitely consider staying here if we visit Hanging Rock again.

Mountain Sanctuary

This is a beautiful property. Immaculately clean, charming decor. Floor to ceiling hardwood, very private, so quiet, the metal roof and wrap around pourch made rainy days spectacular! And so many nooks, all complete with enough seating for four or more. Shelley, the host is kind and responsive and goes out of her way to make the stay special. A couple of notes if you decide to book. Shelley recommends slippers because she asks you leave your shoes at the door. I agree. the tiny gaps in those gorgeous hardwood floors are a little ouchy. Also flip-flops for the shower. Its spotless and beautiful but there is no anti-slip surface on the floor and no grip bar on the wall so it was a little precarious. This is a perfect spot. Go ahead and book.

First, thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us! We needed a place to stay to be able to celebrate one of my daughter’s HS graduation. Your house was as we expected and more. Relaxing Weekend

We chose this area for how close it was to Hanging Rock. However, it rained very hard almost the whole time we were there. But the house was so comfortable that we really enjoyed just hanging out there. Very clean, with a lot of thoughtful details (spices, teas, coffee) and the sheets on the bed were so soft and amazing! The hosts were very easy to message and we always got a quick response. Would definitely go back!

This was the perfect place for the Pilot Mountain to Hanging Rock race. Lots of outdoor sitting options to enjoy the fall weather. The inside was great, too…lots of time spent in the robes relaxing in the living room! Absolutely had everything we needed to relax and enjoy a beautiful long weekend

Anniversary Trip

The house is adorable! Very nice, clean and cozy! They have everything supplied that you could think of other than your own personal belongings and any groceries you may need for your visit. The host was very easy yo communicate with. My husband and I enjoyed spending a lot of time on the wrap around porch. There is Dollar General and Gas Station a few minutes down the road which is convenient as well. I would stay here again, whenever I chose to come back to the area.

The house was immaculate, inside and out. We have stayed in about 18 to 20 houses, and while there were good ones, this house surpasses all of them. Checking in was easy, checking out a dream. No need to strip beds and start laundry, always a hassle when you're trying to get out of the house in time. If you forget to bring something, more than likely it's in the house! All you need is food and drink and your clothes! Both Shelley and Dale were always a phone call or text away, with prompt responses. This house I would stay in again, it meets all our needs.

Just Lovely!

What a lovely vacation house! The owner(s) definitely put alot of time, care and effort in presenting and maintaining the property. Well appointed and comfortable. Most of the time you find the photos present the property in a more favorable light than actuality. Not so I this instance! Perfect getaway for couples and girl's weekend. Smaller children probably not so much - my 10yo was slightly bored; but, the weather and our traveling companions did contribute some to that as well, I'm sure.
