Michael, our host, was a treat to work with and very communicative/responsive! He was flexible with our check-in, and the house was exactly as pictured! Our group of friends LOVED that all of the beds were in one giant bedroom because we could enjoy the evenings together in comfort! Also, the kitchen was well-stocked with cutlery and pots, and there were even a few condiments like olive oil and pancake syrup! The fire pit and seating were wonderful (although please be aware that the lounge chairs were quite flimsy for curvier individuals like myself-- I carried over an outdoor dining chair that was much sturdier and more comfortable!). Our only minor complaint is that the water smelled and tasted a touch fishy. We were assured by Michael that the property had a new well with good water, but you may want to bring a filter pitcher if you are sensitive to how water tastes. Michael kindly included easy-to-understand, laminated instructions on checking out of the property at the end of our stay, and he also graciously had a list of local attractions and restaurant reccommendations (this was very helpful for our group that had never been to the east side of the state)! The property is extremely quiet and tranquil, and the neighbors are considerably distanced, so your group will not disturbed. The location is also a five-minute drive to Lexington, and there are some great locations for beachtown food like Scoops Ice Cream Parlor and 3 North Lexington Tavern House! Stellar stay! :)
