The Expedia listing is very misleading. It's advertised as having a pool, however when you arrive you learn that it's €22 per person per visit (the lady at the pool reception desk kindly waited until we'd changed into our trunks to tell us). There was nothing during the booking process that indicated this. When I contacted them, Expedia's customer "service" people spent an hour lying to me, saying that the booking said that the pool wasn't free (they could not send me either an email or a link as evidence, however). When this didn't work, they told me that since the pool's not explicitly listed as free, it's at the hotel's discretion. I look forward to being told the same thing about, say, sheets or hot water in future.
The listing also says there's a laundry, which there isn't. I was planning to do some, so it was annoying.
As for the hotel itself, it's quite an elegant building in nice grounds, but it's seen better days. The roadside rooms get a lot of traffic noise, and there's no aircon, so you get to choose between too hot and too noisy.
Breakfast is half hearted. Coffee's OK, small selection of limp fruit. Sometimes there's tortilla, depending on what time you go. Fresh squeezed juice is a nice touch, except for the dead flies.
Llanes is a beautiful town with some terrific walks in the mountains, but I'd stay in a different hotel. I probably won't use Expedia again, which is a shame because they were my default booking service for a while.
