Fantastic winter getaway
Erika’s cabin is exceedingly cozy and perfect for a weekend getaway from the city. Communication was a breeze. The cabin was super comfy to hang out in and located very close to a beautiful state park. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The coziest cabin ever!
Arriving on a quiet, snowy night and into the comfort of this cabin felt like a big warm hug. Has everything you could need to fully enjoy your stay and host goes above and beyond with clear communication, instructions, welcome package, and more. Would 100% recommend this location for those looking for a serene getaway surrounded by nature. I fell in love with this place and so will you!

Idyllic cottage
Peaceful cottage in prime location. Fire pit and screened in back porch were very much utilized.The cottage came with most anything you would need. The Host was very responsive. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Delightful
We had a great weekend at this gem of a cabin. It was clean, well taken care of, and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches like local lotions, scrubs, shampoo and conditioner, ingredients to make s’mores. Beyond what we expected. We enjoyed the lake access, the fire pit and the close proximity to John Boyd Stare Park which had great hiking, playground and visitors center. We hope to visit again one day. Thank you, Erika!

Peace & Quiet In The Woods
The cabin fit our needs & served us well as a "base of operations" to explore the surrounding area while offering us well deserved peace & quiet. Having access to the lake (quick 2m walk) was excellent as well as use of the floating dock, floaties, and kayaks. Super close to trails at Thacher State Park. Loved checking out the surrounding restaurants, attractions, breweries, and wineries. Nothing but positive comments for the interactions with the owners. The cabin was well equipped for travel essentials.

My husband and I escaped our busy lives for a weekend and truly could not have asked for a better place for a respite. The back covered deck was phenomenal in sun and rain. We had a wonderful weekend away here and would definitely recommend this home to others.

The house was lovely and in a nice country setting. 2 minute walk to Thompson lake. It was perfect for the 2 of us. There were already condiments, spices and coffee pods. Decorated so country cabin like. Enjoyed the back porch in the morning listening to birds. It was very close to vooresville where family was. If I wasn’t with my elderly mother, I would have gone hiking at thatcher park, pretty much right down the road.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at the property. The home is a perfect layout and comes with all the item one needs, there’s even a fire pit which we made s’more and enjoyed the outdoors. Would absolutely stay again!

Such a sweet place
The owner has obviously really taken her time with and enjoyed the process of setting this cottage up for guests. Everything was so nice that my kids were ready to miss in! Beds are super comfy (even the futon!), plenty of towels, nice toiletries, etc. Really excellent. Looking forward to returning.

My kids and I really enjoyed our stay. It is a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Just a short 5 min drive to thatcher park and lake access to Thompson lake. Enjoyable even in the middle of February. We would have stayed longer if we could have. Can’t wait to go back

Perfect Getaway
Staying at this cabin was everything we hoped. Tucked away and with access to State parks, hiking trails, farms, wineries, and a short drive to Albany, Erika’s cozy cabin was exactly the escape we needed. The cabin is exactly as depicted, felt cozy, was well-kept, and was outfitted to recharge us. I’ll definitely book this listing again when I return upstate!

Wonderful home, wonderful location
Adorable little cabin, very clean, great hospitality, fabulous location for a peaceful getaway! Erika was very warm, welcoming and accommodating! The space worked well for our group. My husband and I were in the downstairs bedroom, and my sister, her husband, and son were upstairs in the loft. It was the perfect place for us to visit nearby family.

We loved our stay in Erika’s charming and comfortable house. We greatly enjoyed the quiet location and appreciated all of the attention to detail especially the wonderful woodland theme. The location was convenient for exploring many nearby points of interest - from hiking Indian Ladder Trail, Vroman’s Nose, and Rensselaerville Falls to biking a section of the Erie Canal and venturing to Saratoga National Battlefield. We definitely would stay here again!

Cute cottage in the woods
This cute cottage lived up to it's reputation! Nestled in the woods just a short walk from Thompsons Lake and just a short drive to all parts of Thatcher Park. Inside the cottage was fully furnished, cozy and comfortable. Erika was kind, helpful and made our stay an enjoyable one.
