This is an older facility that shows its age in subtle ways. The grounds along the sidewalks around the hotel are strewn with litter and signs of being used for temporary housing. This made walking feel less safe.

A California first impression

The first room had a musky smell which I was told was from the heat, the heater was in the off position... we were given another room, it was better as far as smell. The bed was poor...1st, the sheet that was supposed to be fitted, was a top sheet. The mattress was old and sunck in. We got through the night and to the airport...

Check in was very quick and the staff helpful. However, the hotel is somewhat outdated and needs some upgrades. The location near the airport and shuttle bus service were very good.

This hotel is less than 10 minutes from LAX which is convenient. The staff were friendly and accomodating. The condition of the room was less desirable, and definitely showed wear and tear. We had a junior suite room which was spacious and had a mini refrigerator. I probably wouldn't stay here again unfortunately. There's also a $350 incidental hold which seems outlandish compared to the condition of the rooms.

Lots of sugar but a bitter experience

When you fly in from the UK and wake up in the early hours of the morning because of the time difference you need coffee. No creamer, no stirrer provided (but 5 different types of sugar & sweetener - why?) - not great at 2.30am. And the $350(!) deposit was not returned to my card until 36 hours after I checked out. Not impressed at all.

Super convenient

Reasonable price for decent hotel right next to the airport. Shuttle service to the airport is included. I wish the coffee stand was open earlier for those early morning flights.

Cost of food, beverage, very expensive and add a pre tip! Not cool to add a pre tip. We should have left restaurant at beginning. Bartender provided excellent service.

Beware: this place is a filthy ROACH MOTEL. On our final night, my partner was alarmed when she went to have a bath and a cockroach came from the drain. When I returned from returning my rental car, she told of this and we planned on speaking to management in the morning. We went to bed. At 3am, we woke to prep for check out and I went to have a shower and found another HUGE Roach crawling on the side of the bath. I killed it. At the same time, my partner screamed and was alarmed to see a large cockroach IN OUR BED! She took a photo of it, trapping it under a cup on top of a Bible and throwing it into the hall. DISGUSTING. We went to complain upon check out and no one cared. Emailed the manager and chased her for days. No response. I’m EXTREMELY upset that I paid good money to sleep in a roach infested room. Not acceptable. And the fear that we brought those bugs HOME in our luggage is a very real concern. To find three roaches and ONE IN OUR BED. Means that the place is crawling. We had zero food left out anywhere. They were just there. On top of that, the room was musty, the carpet stained. A dump. Shame, it used to be. GOOD hotel. But it’s gone down the tubes. And the fact that management doesn’t care one bit? STAY AWAY!
