This was a family trip to the Bourbon Trail, and was an excellent location. It’s a beautiful home with great potential. While we greatly appreciated the appliances and amenities, the cost of those could have been better spent in the vein of privacy and comfort. The description of the beds misrepresented what was actually found. We have a 6’8” traveler, so a solid king bed is a necessity, and a day bed with a trundle is not that. Only after deep-diving into the listing did we realize that was the case. With very sheer curtains on some of the windows and no curtains at all on others, we felt like everything we were doing inside was on display for all to see. The master bath, while aesthetically pleasing, had several issues. The lack of A/C made a summer vacation miserable while in the bathroom. Beautiful shower, but horrible water pressure. Something has made its home behind one of the walls. Other upstairs bathroom has a blind that doesn’t go to the bottom of the window, so people can see in while using the bathroom or before or after showering. There is a gap on the bottom of the side door big enough for spiders and roaches to come in. With a shift in priorities, this could be an outstanding place to stay.
