We loved this historic and quirky hotel. The room and bath were spotless and comfortable, and the bed and linens were high-quality. We didn't like the stairs (there was no elevator), but it was only two floors. We had help with our bags at checkout. The location is perfect in a little alleyway connecting two main streets. We would stay here again.

The location of this property is amazing, although a little difficult to find if you're using Google Maps. As its on the opposite side and end of the lane than shown. My host for the stay, Franca, has been lovely and offered some great suggestions of things to see/do on arrival. The rooms themselves are beautifully decorated, however I found the bedding and pillows particularly uncomfortable. Also, the rooms are not soundproof at all, which is understandable given the age of the building. Just something to be aware of. Perhaps bring some earplugs to sleep in. Overall a pleasant stay and I would recommend.

Cozy, romantic stay in a real piece of history!

The room features and furnishings were beautiful and truly unique! I loved the exposed brick, wooden beams, and antique furniture. The frescoes are very colorful and definitely added to the atmosphere. Felt very welcomed by Franca and we really enjoyed our morning cappuccinos and breakfast. After hours check in was extremely easy and helpful since we arrived late. Location was convenient for exploring Lucca and was only 10 mins walk from train station. I hope to stay here again in the future, I'd love to see what the other rooms look like!

A Beautifully decorated room

A lovely little hotel and in a great location. Room was decorated and presented beautifully. In the en suites for both our rooms the shower tray was small and the shower needed unblocking to obtain an improved water flow. Good breakfast with a very attentative host

Perfect Bolt Hole for 2 day City Trip

One night stopover. We caught the bus from Pisa airport. Short walk from the bus station inside the wall. Hotel is a little Gem. Bars Restaurants and ice cream stalls all within a stone's throw. Very calm with only a few cars around. We will come back for a longer stay

"A little Gem"

We arrived in Lucca, which is a beautiful Tuscan town with narrow streets and cobbled roads, and at first struggled to find our hotel. That is because it isn't a normal hotel and is a hidden gem in the hustle and bustle of this wonderful town. You enter through a heavy wooden door with a small name plaque marking the entrance, then head up three flights of stairs that are beautifully decorated. Franca makes you very welcome and and shows you to your room. The rooms are compact but beautiful, and the bathroom is small, but adequate and befitting of a small town setting. There is no street noise and the air conditioning works a treat. This hotel is in the centre of town and you literally walk out of the door round a corner and are surrounded by shops and restaurants. A perfect get away to enjoy Lucca and Tuscanny

lovely b&b in heart of Lucca

Stayed a whole week here, located in the heart of Lucca's walled city. It's a B&B with lots of character and a helpful and attentive host. Small but tasty breakfast selection of cereals, pastries, yogurt, etc. Room was clean and comfortable, good bed and linens, A/C, and good water pressure. Wifi went in and out occasionally, was my only mild complaint. Loved my stay and would definitely be back.

Loveliest B&B in Lucca, if not Italy

Outstanding comfortable place to stay. In the absolute centre of Lucca which has to be one of the loveliest places in Italy. The place is a bit tricky to get to by car, especially without a map, but just call Franca when you get stuck. Everything is within a short walk, including exceptional restaurants -take Franca’s suggestions. Beautiful rooms in an ancient, historic wonderfully renovated building. Very special & ample breakfasts. Be prepared to carry bags up a short flight of stairs. We loved our stay

Our hostess was terrific and the location was perfect. We loved it there and wish we could have stayed longer. The shower is a bit small but that is to be expected. The most important part it is clean

Comfortable b and b in town centre

Comfortable room with all expected amenities. Centuries old house sympathetically turned into B and B accommodation with individual room decoration. Lack of natural light a real drawback for us but unavoidable with old Lucca's very tall buildings and narrow streets. Our room was quiet, overlooking an inner courtyard. Good continental breakfast with local produce. Helpful owner, Franca, easy to contact.

Quirky but good

i stayed here in july. It is bang in the middle of town, so no long walks home, easy to pop back and have a rest and go out again. The host was lovely and helped us find restaurants and bikes.

Amazing Experiences in Lucca

Lucca is an amazing town. I could live there. Very friendly people. World class entertainment. Amazing food and wine and plenty of 'Made in Italy' clothes shops.
