The house was really nice, lots of little details put into the stocking of the kitchen and the organization of the furniture, etc. The shower was awesome and just a cool place to stay.
The property was awesome with lots of wide trails to explore and we even got a tour from the owners and he spoke to us about his bees and the sugar shack. Super cool feature to learn a little!
I will say, however, that we felt a little "watched." The owner's home is actually on the other side of the driveway, not across the street as is listed. The only sitting area was out the front door, and it overlooks the driveway and the owner's home. The workshop is in the attached garage to the VRBO underneath the house and while it wasn't a big deal and not very loud, we could hear the owner working in the shop one evening while we were there. Also, it rained (not a downpour or a thunderstorm, just a light steady rain) one day and we had accidentally left the windows open. When we returned, the windows had been closed, I'm assuming by the owners, who entered our VRBO without letting us know before or afterward.
There is tons to do in the area, from a distillery tour at Ironfish, to the Betsie Lighthouse, beaches, fishing, and a cool overlook called Inspiration Point to watch the sunset over the lake. Overall, our stay was fun and relaxing, but personally, we won't stay here again because we like a little more privacy.
