Merl is one of the 24 quarters in Luxembourg, located in the western part of the city. Largely residential in character, this neighborhood makes for a wonderful introduction to Luxembourg. Merl is the setting for the sprawling Parc de Merl, home to beautiful ponds as well as elaborate playgrounds for children. Those who like to cook for themselves will be pleased by the selection at Merl's Cactus Marché Merl market. The neighborhood's culinary scene includes everything from French brasseries to casual pizza spots, with several high-end dining options set within the Parc de Merl. The neighborhood is served by several bus lines, and all public transportation is free in Luxembourg.

Pets are welcome, though weight limits and breed restrictions apply and may incur fees.
