This diamond-in-the-rough cabin was a good find when looking for a last minute escape from our triple digit heat and smoke. We were quite comfortable with all the basic necessities provided, and we truly enjoyed the large deck and soothing sounds of the river. It can get a little toasty for a couple of hours on a late August afternoon (no A/C), but it cools off nicely in the evening hours (attic fan helps a lot, too). We spent most of our time at the beach or on the hiking trails nearby (Sweet Creek Trail is really pretty) so there were plenty of opportunities to stay cool. There is no cable/satellite TV (just a CD player) so we came prepared with movies & games of our own. The Wi-Fi works just fine, but it was actually wonderful to simply disconnect from the world for a while. The owner, Kate, was extremely gracious, helpful and eager to please. Thank you, Kate for a wonderful stay!
