Delightful Respite

This was just what we needed- a quiet respite away from the city. Waking up and smelling that crisp fresh air was refreshing. The hosts were very helpful in helping us decide what vineyards to visit and the recommendations were excellent.

Wish our visit was longer!

Wow! What a beautiful stay at this property; between the comfortable beds, many kitchen and bath amenities, proximity to town and a park, and the gorgeous property, we wished we were staying at least one night longer! It's a perfect spot for a retreat from home, and we will be back.

Beautiful spot

This place in a gorgeous spot overlooking their flower farm! Everything was great and ready for you to cook if you want ( we helped prep for thanksgiving dinner for the in-laws) I would definitely stay again when we go back out!!

Super Clean, Very Comfortable, Friendly Hosts

Our trip to the Willamette Valley was made even better by having a clean and comfortable place to stay. As I told Matt, our host, what we appreciated most was that his property is EXACTLY as advertised. The apartment is not large, but the space is well-designed: two bedrooms and two full baths. The living space is comfortable and inviting; the galley kitchen area is convenient and well-stocked. Plus, a great view to wake-up to. Personally, we were always out-and-about, so didn't really make use of the grill, lawn area, canoe on the pond... but it was all there for future visitors. One thing I would suggest: initially check-in while it's still daylight, as the property lives up to its "hidden" name. Once you know where it is, it's really close to McMinnville and the other towns. And 700+ wineries:)

Perfect Fall Getaway

This was a lovely property with a lot of privacy. There many late summer/autumn flowers that we walked through and viewed from the porch. The beds were very comfortable and the little kitchen had everything we needed. Driving in after dinner one evening, we even encountered a small herd of deer!

The 2nd time around was still a winner

Lovely and peaceful accommodations. Stayed here nearly 7 years ago, and our group wanted an encore visit. It didn't disappoint then, and definitely didn't now. Comfortable, well-appointed and supplied and very clean. Close to all the wineries and restaurants we went to, but didn't feel like an urban setting at all. The fabulous bottle of Argyle bubbly that greeted our arrival was a particularly nice touch.

Perfect perch for McMinnville stay

Hidden Hills Escape is a perfect name for this sweet spot. Nichole has created a peaceful getaway on her A-Z flower farm, where guests can sit on a deck in comfortable chairs right outside the door of their second floor apartment and look out on the hills and pastures around this farm outside McMinnville. Comfortable king size beds, lots of closet space and nice baths with very good water pressure were all appreciated. The long driveway to the main road makes a nice walk, especially with the big flower garden along the way and its rows of zinnias, black eyed susans, dahlias and other summer flowers. Nichole supplied us with a bottle of Argyle sparkling wine which was enjoyed with a chocolate torte from Humble Spirit, a farm to table restaurant on Third St. in McMinnville. From the farm into downtown was about a 10 minute drive and if you travel straight down NE Baker and across 99, the road becomes Evans St. and it takes you right downtown and to a free two-hour parking lot. We loved the drive into town. McMinnville is a good base, we learned, for visits to the wineries in the Dundee Hills and it's also about an hour to Silver Falls State Park, Oregon's most popular state park, where there are waterfalls galore. Kudos to Nichole juggling a family, a home-based business and a beautiful and well-furnished and equipped vacation rental. We'd stay here again without question!

Such a beautiful place! My wife and I just loved this house! It’s very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely book it again on our next visit to Oregon! Some of the best sleep I had in months! If you love flowers, you will love this house!

Wonderful hidden gem

We loved everything about our stay at Hidden Hills Escape. Nichole was a great communicator, and the apartment was just as described. It had everything we needed, and more! It was an added bonus to have fabulous views as well as to be able to walk around the property and flower farm. We feel fortunate to have been able to see Nichole and Matt's little slice of heaven. They were both lovely and kind enough to accommodate some potential last-minute plans. We hope to be back to Hidden Hills soon!

Fantastic Stay

The property is exactly as the listing described. It’s a cozy two bedroom place with all you need for a relaxing stay. Everything is spotless and in excellent condition (my wife even commented how sharp the knives were!). Having two full bathrooms was perfect as well with four adults. The outdoor area is nice and private with a fabulous setting. Truly a fantastic place that we’d definitely like to revisit again.

Peaceful Retreat

My husband and I enjoyed 2 nights at Hidden Hills Escape before we picked our kids up from camp and 1 night with kids and friends. This is a very nice and spacious apartment with gorgeous green space outdoors for kids to play. On our own we enjoyed a gorgeous trail run at nearby Miller Woods and visited wineries Maysara and Roshni. With our kids, we played soccer, badminton, made s'mores, walked through wildflowers. The hosts were very communicative and accommodating, and even their kids were the sweetest and invited our kids to play. Every part of our stay was warm and inviting and such a contrast to our usual city life.

Wilamette Wanderings

We stayed at this property for the quiet, relaxed, backroads feel as a base for our explorations around the area(Silver Falls State Park, Columbia River Gorge, and the wine region). Nichole was an excellent communicator, and very reachable and helpful. The property feels hidden and remote, but is in close proximity to Newberg and Carlton for our wine tasting. We sat out on the deck once and took a walk down the driveway and around the bucolic yard, but because of the heat wave, couldn’t be out there as much as we would have liked. The exterior and interior is exactly as pictured. The living and kitchen area are nicely appointed, updated and had comfortable furnishings. Nichole stocked the kitchen better than I’ve seen before with plenty of extra starter items as well as bonus items like foil and sandwich bags. The beds were comfortable as well. The bathrooms are a bit dated and could use a refresh, but it was functional, brightly lit and clean. We would highly recommend this property! Thank you, Nichole

We loved our stay here in Willmette Valley at this property. The only issue we had was with the shower and they took care of it right away. The area we were at was so convenient to the coast and other vineyards!

Perfect Mom & Daughter Getaway

My mom and I escaped to McMinnville for wine tasting and relaxation in May and I this was a perfect location! Close enough to town that wine tour guide would pick us up at the door, but far enough that we enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the area. We enjoyed a lovely walk around the flower farm during a break in the rain. The large fridge and comfortable king beds were perfect for two adults on a mission to eat and drink our fill! We didn’t have the weather to enjoy the outdoor amenities, but it was a very good set up. We met the hosts in passing and they were very friendly, but the whole stay was so easy we never needed any assistance! We would definitely recommend this spot to adults or a small family staying in the area!
