The air conditioner was broken in our room. We were shifted to another room at 11pm.The night manager said they are upgrading the aircon. I asked why we weren’t checked into a room with air on that worked seeing as they knew what the problem was.

An Excellent Choice for Anyone!

Staying at Mercure is always an easy and enjoyable experience; access to parking, basic amenities and it's prime position in the CBD make it an excellent choice for any traveller in deciding on accommodation needs. The customer service is welcoming, discrete and not overly demonstrative in helping you check-in or depart... they keep it simple, friendly and accessible. My only change would be to update the in-room bathroom amenities; however, this purely aesthetics and rest assured, they are always exceptionally clean and functional.

Nice Hotel convenient to a-lot of excursions we booked. Staff very helpful. Only thing is they say laundry is on the 8th & 3rd floors, its only on the eight floor & the lights went out when we were there and had to go back down to reception to let the know

Pleasant Stay, but could do better with Service.

Great location at Southbank close to city, Arts Centre and many other places. Rooms can be noisy from road traffic depending location of the rooms. Housekeeping hit and miss. Sugar in 4 days stay was never replaced, rubbish not always collected. Great that they have kitchen facilities and microwave, couple plates, glasses, mugs, however no bowls to use for cereal (had to get from restaurant) No tea towel to dry dishes, had to use your bathroom towels. Not very hygienic. If those things were supplied the hotel guests would benefit.
