I have stayed in many VRBO accommodations, this is, by far, the most disappointing. The interior temperature of the apartment was 51 degrees and there was no heat. We notified the front desk, the maintenance directly, the management company, and the VRBO site. No heat throughout the entire stay. The air conditioning unit was broken. There wasn't any hot water and there were damages throughout the entire apartment. Holes in the floor, water damages on the ceilings and window sills, and paint peeling off everywhere. The front desk people were rude and unhelpful and the elevator stopped working during the night, leaving us stranded on the 33rd floor. There were phone numbers in the apartment "in case of an emergency" that we called several times. The calls were not answered and there were no return calls to us until after 9:00am. When speaking with the management company regarding the condition of the apartment, I asked if the property owners were aware of horrible, dirty, run-down condition, and they assured me that the property owners were aware and there was nothing they could do. I requested a refund from the property management company and from VRBO; their resolution was to give us 65 back, which was ridiculous. I have stayed at numerous VRBO rentals were the owners have provided amenities such as waters, coffee, or even a welcome package. This place didn't even have clean sheets. DON'T RENT THIS APARTMENT OR FROM THIS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY.
