Many renters may have an excellent experience based on the reviews we used to choose this location; however, our experience resembled a typical scam in which what was was confirmed was not reflective of the actual room/experience with subpar communication from the management company and confusing/contradicting explanations.
We had a confirmed booking for a "1,090 sq ft unit with private terrace| 2 Bedroom| 2 Bathroom". This was explicit in the heading of the confirmed booking and also solidified in the descriptions/pictures that labeled "expansive 1,000 sq foot balcony exclusive to the unit" and "outdoor dining table has seating for 6" and detailed floor plan that referenced the amenities the unit should have. We also noticed there was a large price difference between this unit and other 2 bedroom/2 bathroom units at the same location that did not advertise a balcony. Upon check-in we were given a much smaller, smelly, dirty unit with no balcony. The tone of the "guest experience" person quickly turned from helpful to more defensive . After speaking with customer service and messaging through the App, we were told that all units were assigned day of check in and a balcony couldn't be guaranteed. However, after being on hold for long periods of time, the resolution to the issue was that I would be reimbursed the difference since the unit we were in was a lower amount than the room we booked. This contradicted the information on assignment to any random unit upon check in regardless of size differences and amenities. This tells me is that there is a price difference and we should have been given that room that was in the description of our confirmed booking. When asking if we could easily resolve this by being provided the room we booked, we were told those rooms were "unavailable". Given that we had traveled 2,000 miles for this vacation, I spent 2 hours working with them to resolve this and seemed to be repeatedly told there was nothing to be done but given a discount for the unit we were given. After not giving up, they eventually seemed to concede and curiously gave the room that we originally booked that had been "unavailable" for the first two hours. After a long day of travel looking forward to vacation with friends, this was a disaster. Not worth the trials and tribulation - won't be booking another stay - saving grace was the very sweet woman on the phone who genuinely tried to help me as the intermediary with management..
