The meals were very generous and good pub fare.
The room was not heated at all, so be aware in winter it's cold!! An electric blanket would have been helpful. That said, the blankets were warm. Wifi didn't work in the rooms, so we weren't able to watch anything or plan the next day (no tv).
Wifi worked in the shared lounge and in the bar. It was clearly a grand hotel in its day, nice that not too much has been modernised.
This property should NOT be listed. No heating mid winter, no private bathroom (as advertised) but only shared facilities 20 yards down the hall (not all working), a sign saying to run the hot water for 5 minutes before it works, threadbare and torn carpets on the stairs and hallway (dangerous). We decided not to stay and got suitable accommodation (cheaper and better) at a motel down the street.
