Let me start by saying that I've almost always had positive experiences with Americaninn, but this property clearly has significant issues. Our night started by walking into a cold room because the heater was broken. The front desk tried to fix it with the manager on the phone, but that didn't work. I was horrified to see how much dust was caked on the inside. They offered to switch us to another room, but we were warned that we could receive an electrical shock from the tub. We decide to stay in our room and the front desk brought down blankets for us. The next thing we noticed were the pubes stuck to the inside of the Jacuzzi. When I called the front desk I couldn't help but notice there was a hole in the telephone, and the phone barely worked because there was so much static. I couldn't help but notice that the room cleaners didn't have adequate equipment to do their jobs either, for example take a look at the trash bin in the photo that is literally being held together with duct tape. We didn't get a free room, we didn't get a discount, but at least we got two extra blankets and our STI tests are still pending. The hot tub in the main pool area was also not usable. This property is in a good location and has a lot of potential, but the owners don't seem to want to invest in having properly working equipment, cleaning rooms properly, general property upkeep. Good luck to them, but we won't be staying there again with so many other good choices nearby.

Upon checking in we were told the hot tub wasn't working...what a disappointment. We would not have kept this reservation had we known this. But here we are...checked in and had a Lyft driver picking us up in an hour for dinner reservations. We walked into our room and the carpet was clearly not vacuumed. Walking further into the room, the top of the bed appeared as if someone had just rolled out of it prior to us walking in....and to top it off, the Jacuzzi had a foot of water in it. Due to it being NYE, every other place we had called was booked solid, so we took a different room here as our other option would've been to turn around and drive home. I passed on breakfast, and the room key didn't work at 10am (check out is 11am), so it had to be reactivated at the front desk. Everything was a hassle from time of check in to check out... We won't be going back. And we learned to call a head of time to make sure all the amenities are working, and our room is prepared!

We were able to reserve the room on short notice. It was everything we needed. We had one small complaint: the room was next to the pool and the chlorine smell was strong. We opened an outside window for a little while and that seemed to help.

It was okay
When I got to the hotel to check-in there was no one at the front desk. Myself and another person who needed service dialed for assistance but we waited for a long time. The hot tub stopped working and the sauna needed to be reset. The room was fine. It was clean and my family slept well. Breakfast was good and filling.

Room not properly stocked for number of guests, should be nightlight lighting when getting up to use the bathroom as light switch is outside the bathroom so gets bright for those sleeping if you want light in the bathroom, sauna didn’t work, hot tub was warm (but not as warm as it should be) and half the jets didn’t seem to work, plus the area you sit on is very rough.

We had asked for a main floor room when booking online as husband uses a cane and walker. Immediately was given a second floor room. Asked for a main floor room. Host had to check online to see if I had really requested one and then once confirmed she changed it to main floor. Host didn’t mention to us anything about breakfast or pool hours, check out hours etc.
