Family Vacation

We had the best time! 15 in our family of all ages. Enjoyed boating, fishing swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, wake boarding and tubing, sitting out by fire pit at night, taking the boats to dinner on the lake at Drifters,….so much to do! House was beautiful and kitchen well stocked for making dinners at home! Plenty of room for everyone in our group to spread out and do what they enjoy: watching TV outside on deck by fireplace, playing cornhole by pool, reading by the fire pit, fishing off the dock, gaming on downstairs TV in den, playing shuffle board, relaxing inside ….We definitely plan to return!

Great property

We had a wonderful experience at the Beville Getaway properties. We rented two houses side by side to celebrate my daughters graduation from Virginia Tech. The homes were beautiful, clean and better than described. We had one small issue while we were there, and the communication was extraordinary and an easy fix. I was really impressed by the property and it is well managed. We will be back.

Graduation

We spent time with our family as we got to share in our daughter’s graduation and proposal of marriage by surprise. Wonderful time with her friends and hosted a nice but small dinner for her! Great home and plenty of room to entertain!

Amazing Fall Vacation

Been staying at SML for over 12 years and this was our first visit not during the peak summer months. While weather could have been better, Beacon Pointe amenities made up for it. House was bright, clean and well equipped. We had older adults with us and oath to dock was perfect. Will define booking again!!

Oceans to Smith Mt Lake

We all came from the coasts- West and East, all beach communities. For many, a first time lake experience and for all Smith Mt. Lake. It was a wonderful experience. Having the pool enhanced the fun in the lake - tubing, touring, fishing. The location on SML was one of the nicest we had been told by other family members. The house was beautifully designed with appropriate accommodations for seniors ( 3 close to 80 years old) The room with Full Bunk Beds was good for the 18 - 21 year olds and the regular bunk room good for the 3 smaller children. The outside tvs were a wonderful amenity we’ve never had before ( Our family has used VRBO on Cape Cod, Virginia Beach, North West Puget Sound, Boston area, and North Carolina. This was by far the best all around for accommodations as well as enjoyment of the outdoors. The Owner was amazingly responsive to any request and addressed the very minor issues we had immediately. THANK YOU for providing a superlative vacation experience!

Lovely home

We had a group of 16 people stay for the week and loved our time at the lake! The driveway is very steep but comfortably fit 5 cars. We enjoyed seeing the deer in the yard daily, fishing from the dock, and watching the beaver come out of his dam next door. I highly recommend renting the pontoon with the property as that was our favorite thing. The middle floor with the living room is small so if you have young children I’d recommend bringing a few baby gates. The pool is gated which was an added feature for us with little kids. Finally, the pool was a bit dirty and very slippery but overall we enjoyed this home.

Amazing place

We were skeptical of this property because it looked too good to be true - but it was true! The place fit our family really well, it had everything we needed (we left some stuff in the car we did not need), it was clean, the views were great, the manager was responsive. We all loved it. We rented the boat with the property and it was superb, we spent a lot of time on it. My only concern in writing such a review will be its availability in the future!

GREAT FAMILY GATHERING

Beautiful property and setting on Smith Mountain Lake! Our extended family gathering of 11 adults, 4 children and 2 newborns had plenty of room to visit and eat together. The outdoor space, including heated pool and hot tub, was fantastic! Kitchen very well stocked. Beds comfortable. Communication with host was fast and easy. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Experience!

The house was perfect for our large family. We had a range of people from infants to 70+ and there was something for everyone. Plenty of space, heated pool and hot tub were a plus. The view was peaceful and there were plenty of restaurants on the water to take the boat to. We would definitely recommend and stay there again, thank you!

Great vacation rental!

We had a large family group here to meet up and celebrate the holidays. The house and location were beautiful. The home was clean, well-appointed, comfortable, and well laid out, such that each group had their own space and bathrooms. We were there off-season, so most of our time was spent indoors together, and found we had everything we needed for a great visit. The owner was very helpful and quick to answer/address any questions we had. Loved our stay here and would love to return some time.

Our first lake vacation.

The house is very nice and as listed. There are 18 of us, 8 adults and 10 kids. This place had something for everyone and we all felt it was our best vacation yet. We had 3 boats, 1 rental and 2 we owned and the lake was not busy at all when we went tubing and skiing.

Family Vacation at Beacon Pointe

The home was perfect for our family vacation. The home was beautiful, and the layout worked out well for us. We had a large group, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The quiet cove was perfect for relaxing and swimming, and the pool and hot tub were great to have as well! The only downside is that the house was not cleaned very well when we got there, which was a little disappointing. There were also a ton of large spiders and ants on the decks and the pool patio, we tried to clear the webs but they were everywhere. It might be beneficial to have the property treated.

More than expected!

We are a family of 75… And growing! 20 of us were able to vacation together this year. When we first stepped in the home, it was definitely a WOW experience! The layout was amazing, the furnishings were perfect, the kitchen was supplied with everything we could possibly need. The towels and bed linens were quality products, and the beds were more than comfortable. We spent most of our time either on the upper decks enjoying each other’s company, or down around the pool or on the dock. We rented a pontoon boat for the week, and we were fishing every day, and taking sunset cruises every evening. I think the kids, grandkids, and great grandkids enjoyed swimming in the lake more than the pool! Will definitely stay here again, and would strongly recommend this home to any family wanting to make memories!

Beautiful House and Location

Our family of 15, 8 adults and 7 children ages 6-15, spent a great week here at this beautiful house. It was really perfect for all of us! The kitchen was very well equipped. Also a second refrigerator on the lower level was very helpful. The wrap around deck had very comfortable seating and beautiful views of the lake. Morning coffee on the deck was a relaxing spot to start the day. The kids had a great time in the pool, swimming and fishing off the dock, and paddle boarding in the beautiful calm cove. I would highly recommend Beacon Pointe and hope to return again!

Great location

Everyone had a wonderful time! Owner was always accommodating and responsive! Highly recommend. It does have a very steep gravel driveway, so keep that in mind for parking.
