Spectacular setting, pool, patios- but rustic room
Gorgeous setting with mountain vistas & a beautifully located pools we have ever seen. The location is perfect--on a small paved road on the hillside, in the middle of nature. Yet 10 minutes up the road is a small town, with everything. We ate dinners @ the agritourismo & liked the meals. The room, though, are spartan/rustic and comfort could be improved (only one wooden chair, so no place to sit in the room except on the bed). Rooms seem to vary tremendously: we were in the second building (not the main building) & it was quiet at night, but if you have a rooms above the dining area, it might be noisy if guests stay up late enjoying after-dinner drinks with the owner. The only issue is that when it rains, there is no comfortable indoor public area of the hotel to hang out in. There are LOVELY outdoor areas for sitting under trellises, but these were wet. There are a few tables under the eaves of the main building, but the drizzle made it too cool to hang out there. Our only choice was to hang out at one of the tables in one of the two indoor dining rooms...but since many were set for dinner, we didn't want to be in the way there. I'd suggest that owners set up an indoor corner of the dining rooms with some comfortable armchairs for guests to use on wet days Overall, an excellent experience: we would definitely return...the beautiful remote setting alone makes it worth it! Be sure to bring bug spray.
