Property was cozy and secluded. Very nice space. Had everything we needed. 15 minute drive to town for food and essentials if needed. The inside of the cabin could have been more clean. At first glance it wasnât bad but Utensils and dishes were kind of dirty. I would have washed them either way. Lots of dust and dirt under furniture. Fridge was clean. Washer and dryer available which nice but thereâs no detergent provided.
We had a great trip. We really enjoyed the covered porch, hot tub, and grill. My only recommendations for future visitors is to bring your own containers if you plan on cooking. We grilled every night and naturally had some left overs. There werenât any containers for us to store food in, so if you plan on cooking bring your own. I also would recommend asking for additional towels. We used the hot tub every day, and had to dry our towels to be able to use them to shower. Other than that, the cabin is clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our time
Overall the property was amazing, we really enjoyed our time! I will say I wish the grass was mowed to make it safer for the fire pit but other than that it was a great weekend!
We booked 3 nights stays after the holiday to recharge and rest. The cabin was easy to find and the location was ok. The cabin sits on a road and it was busier than expected. That particular weekend it was unusually cold and the cabin is not winterized. Despite having the heater at 68 wind was coming directly from the windows . We were not able to sit in the little dining area because it was too cold. There was an extra heater that we used in the bedroom. We had to keep the curtains closed in order to keep the draft coming from windows at bay. We did not make a big deal out of it until we lost power and it became too cold. We packed and were ready to leave when the power crew arrived and fixed the power line. We went back to the Cabin but the heater froze. We communicated with the owner every step of the way. The next morning we were able to get it to work but it would not go higher than 65 F .During the day it was "bearable" with our boots on and a jacket on but once the sun went down we made the decision to go home . because it was too cold. We did not have a great stay. The host does not control the weather and he was super nice but there was only 1 small alternative for heat , only one spare blanket , no candles or flashlight to use during the power outage. I am originally from Canada and I am no stranger to the cold but that 2 days was brutal and unpleasant. I wish there was more disclosure about the fact that the heating system is not reliable and there is no backup .
Stayed here last year and came back. Enjoyed the experience again. Great place to kick back and relax.
A couple recommendations/observations
1. Only had one dish towel. Need at least two.
2. Water pressure in shower is low. May be shower head.
3. Kitchen sink drains slow
4. Water not very hot in bathroom.
Cabin size was fine for us & our toy pup. Very low doorways (less than 6'). Hot tub was not cleaned until our last full day. Having a hot tub was a priority for our choosing this cabin. Outside trash bin was full the entire stay. We were told it would be taken our 2nd day, but was still full when we checked out. I should have looked at the location being so close to the road. A Blue Maple suggestion of a great-sounding breakfast place was no longer there & was another restaurant; not open on the day there. Fire pit was good. Will not stay at this cabin again. Maybe not with the Blue Maple group as their cleaning sub-contractors are not reliable.
Not what we expected from the previous reviews and listing
Before our rental even started, we had to reach out multiple times to the renter because they never responded to questions. We also notice that days prior to our arrival they changed the listing to exclude the hot tub - an amenity we specifically filtered and chose. Apparently it stopped working. Instead of notifying us, they tried to cover it up and apologize after the fact. Instructions to enter were never sent as described, we had to call and wait to gain entry. Upon arrival the trash was overflowing. The lid could no where near be shut due to the amount of trash, and there were multiple bags on the ground around the can. This was unsettling arriving in the afternoon in such a remote area with much wildlife around. We then learned the grill had no propane - when called they promised to come to refill which they never did. The state of the grill was abhorrent to what should have been expected. Our first morning we were delighted to no power or running water until 3pm. We were forced to crawl around subspaces on the property per the renter via phone call to help 'troubleshoot' the issue.
Very cute nice little place - definitely a small cabin in the countryside
We had a great stay here. The bed and towels were clean and the kitchen was equipped well with a nice big fridge frezzer and working oven coffee machine water urn etc.
The attention to detail of cleaning definitely could use improvement.
The host was very good about communicating with us and the location is amazing.
I really liked the cabin. The heating unit works exceptionally well and we needed it in the 20-30 degree temps. The hot tub was in excellent! Close to some hiking spots that we had been interested in exploring. Not close to any major grocery store, so would recommend getting everything you need prior (probably 20+ minutes to "civilization" which is a good thing, too. Management communication was excellent. It can do for a few upgrades (bathroom shower) and the couch was not too comfy, but everything worked and the bed was VERY comfortable. It was a fantastic stay.
This cabin was perfect for my husband and I for a quick weekend get away to celebrate our recently passed anniversary. The host Tony was super nice and communicated with us daily to ensure we were settled and comfortable. We had dinner at the Copper Kettle the first night but grilled out on the propane grill almost every meal after. Both days we enjoyed the hot tub it was very clean, hot, and spacious. The fire pit and yard games were also a big hit for us in addition to being able to bring our lab-mix for free. This cabin is well stocked, towels and toiletries are provided. the bed and sheets are super comfortable, and it is in a truly beautiful spot. We will definitely be staying here again!! Only thing to note is it is a rural area so there were a lot of black ants in the cabin but we just swept them up as they died and kept enjoying our time.
This cabin is a wonderful place to take a break and enjoy nature, wine, a fire and a good book. There are lots of scenic trails nearby and great wineries! The fire pit is lovely in the evening and the fireflies match the stars in the sky. The road is gravel but cars still do come by quite often but it didnât take away from the quiet of the woods. All around great stay.
