Great little spot!
We found the place because it was close to the venue of a wedding we were attending. It was super cute and spacious. We stayed with 3 kids and the beach chairs/toys were lovely to have. Everything at the property was well labeled and little bonus snacks and extra sunscreen was great. The property owner lives upstairs and is super responsive with any question or concern. She even sent us a little note when a large rainbow appeared over the ocean one day!

Gem
This property and the host, Ruth, is the best VRBO we’ve stayed at. The location is rural, which is a plus for us. So quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The place is immaculate, so comfortable and she’s thought of everything to make our stay feel special. Its location to the green sand and black sand beaches, in addition to the national park and mountain cannot be beat. We loved it.

Fantastic stay!
We wanted to be close to South Point and the green sand beach for a change his time on Hawaii, and this turned out to be the ideal staging location for seeing sights on the south side of the island. The listing was exactly as described, spotless clean, well appointed, and the owner provided a number of complimentary products. We felt like it could be our home. We would definitely book again if we wanted a location on the south side of the island!

Beautiful and clean rental
My family of 5 loved staying here at this clean and welcoming rental. 3 kids ranged from 12-19. Nice updated bathroom, clear labelling of all cabinets and drawers helped to navigate the kitchen. Property was super nice and clean. With two teenage kids and five people, it was harder to have only one bathroom, so just something to keep in mind if you have big kids who need more time in the bathroom. Place was accurately described, host was warm and communicated well. There were snacks and water bottles, and some aloha treats! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Quiet Comfort
What a gem. Very relaxing, a quiet comfortable stay. The location served as a great place for us to see multiple sites. We booked seemingly last minute and we were able to secure this property, and we were so lucky that we did. We would highly recommend.

Perfect Hawi experience
The house and location were spectacular! It was comfortable, very spacious for 2 people. We felt we never had to leave. My husband spent hours sitting on the porch with an occasional stroll to visit the animals on the property. Each night we had dinner and cocktails on the porch watching the sunset. This is an unsoiled area of the big island and a nice break from the resorts in Kona.

South end gem
My husband and I stayed here for a few days our 25th Anniversary Week. Ruth and Todd were excellent hosts and their place is brand new and beautiful, very clean and earth friendly/environmentally conscious. The two person shower and comfortable King Size are absolutely lovely. The place was fully stocked with everything we needed including a bit of condiments, snacks, etc. which is important with not being too near a major grocery store. There were even different kinds of bath products to choose from. Ruth also left us sparkling cider and chocolate covered macadamia nuts for our anniversary. This was a great location for heading anywhere in Volcano National Park, Green or Black Sand/Turtle Beaches, or the Southern most point of the U.S. Be aware that this is a bit more rural than the Kona or Hilo areas and so you should expect a few more bugs, etc. though never inside, as they have a great perimeter block spray that worked well. It is the lower level of the home, so every once in a while you hear the sweet puppies playing upstairs, but it was never a nuisance. Bring some Kona coffee and sit on the west lanai and enjoy the most lovely sunrises I could ever describe.

Amazing!
We had a great 11 night stay! The house is spacious, open, modern with a “new” feel. The grounds and scenery are lovely. The hosts are friendly and go out of their way to meet any needs. Very responsive! When we needed to add a couple extra days Ruth was right on it and made it happen! They are ecology minded without being critical. Would definitely stay here again.

I'd give >5 stars if permitted. My favorite part of the stay was watching spectacular sunrises over the ocean from this home's patio. The house was lovely and comfortable, immaculately clean, and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was fully equipped. I greatly appreciated the laundry room which contained an efficient washer and dryer. Our hosts were friendly and gracious. We plan to return.

I cannot say enough good things about this rental! Ruth was helpful & available in ways that went so above & beyond. I arrived in the dark so had no idea the beautiful view that was awaiting the next morning! Spectacular! Great location with easy access, beautiful inside and out & had everything needed. Absolutely fabulous!
Great location and live like a local. Being in the southernmost tip you see great sunrises and sunsets. The property is clean and the owners are great! They provide everything you need for the beach and a place to wash and dry it all! Such a great experience.

Thoughtful and quiet
The Aloha Green House retreat was exceptionally clean and thematic to a nice Hawaiian atmosphere. The decor was splendid and there was plenty of room for us as a group of 3. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy a beautiful ocean view and a quiet part of the island. I can also add that the star gazing was a bonus as there is very little traffic and light pollution due to its location. The Aloha Green House retreat owners were thoughtful about all things guests would likely forget or unable to take on the planes and it was readily available. My husband emailed the owners for any tips on touring around and they sent back a TON of great details for what to do in the area. We only wish that we could've stayed a bit longer but I would definitely recommend this vacation rental.

Aloha vibes! Our stay here was absolutely perfect in every way. The hosts where accommodating beyond our expectations. The sunrise was amazing on the lanai. Plenty of space in all rooms, the shower was gorgeous and spacious. We would consider this place a second home when returning to Hawaii. Mahalo!

Beyond our expectations!
We absolutely loved our stay in this 2 bed / 1 (gorgeous) bath unit in Discovery Harbour. Some of the highlights for us: - Split bedroom floor plan was a nice buffer between the kids’ room; we’re “old” and go to sleep earlier than our knuckleheads - “Kitchenette ” had everything we needed since we didn’t plan on any major cooking - Guest laundry was a nice surprise (maybe I missed that in the description) - Outdoor shower worked well for rinsing off snorkeling gear - Views from the windward side of the lanai are great Overall, the location worked well for us as a starting point for all of our adventures on the south side of Big Island. The unit is just what we were seeking and plan to stay again next year. 🤙🏻
