Firstly, the owners were very accommodating with requests.
The property was clean and tidy with warm and comfortable beds. A beautiful country view from any of the three comfortable seating/lounging areas on the generous verandah out the back. A well compliled book with heaps of local information from where to eat, where to go, and where to get medical assistance.
There was a warm and cosy hot tub to enjoy and understandabley, you had to shower before and after use. Sadly, with only 1 towel per person, this was not an ideal situation in the cold months.
A short leisurely stroll, and you're in this picturesque and quaint little town with an array of different shops.
I was looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway from the city. Unfortunately, I went by the tranquil large open spaces seen in the photos and didn't research the area prior to booking as I normally would. The property was located on a bend on the main road, so the noise was a pretty consistent mix of cars and trucks. The local skate park was right next door, separated by a road.
Unaware to us, there was a garden and flower festival on, so that was a bonus, and I certainly injected some cash into the local community.
Overall, it's a great property if you're not seeking peace and quiet. (Take an extra towel if you plant to use the hot tub)
