Mississippi River Views

Loved the cozy space and our gracious host Greta. The Mississippi River road had gorgeous views of the water and we enjoyed a long, peaceful farmland hike just across the state line in Iowa.

Hallmark House

Walking in this little cottage was like walking into a Christmas Hallmark movie. It was decorated so cute! Everything there you could possibly need! We will be coming back soon!

Perfectly charming

The character of the "town hall" put together a load of charm made this a very pleasant place to stay! Everything was very clean inside. Outside was just as beautiful and charming as the inside.

Beautiful and quiet farmhouse style stay

The host is so friendly and helpful in any way needed, so sweet and thoughtful! The property grounds were stunning, inside decor and style beautifully done. Clean bathroom, comfortable bed, quiet location with gorgeous views for sunrise and sunset. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Sonora Town Hall Cottage and Gardens!

This cottage at Sonora Gardens is a MUST stay! The coziness, charm and well stocked amenities greet you with a relaxing feel of home. The space is an interior designers dream and the grounds are very inviting!! Our hostess Greta was simply a peach and makes you feel like family! Dont miss this hidden gem!! family! Nauvoo the Beautiful

This property matched the name of the city Nauvoo, the beautiful city. It was a 5 star hotel stay. The property was gorgeous, the landscaping was amazing. The old town hall room we stayed in was delightful. Beds were very comfortable as was everything. We loved this place and loved the small gifted cinnamon bread. Everything was well thought out. It was a 5 star “hotel” stay.

Perfect place to stay!

The Sonora Town Hall Cottage was in the perfect location to enjoy Nauvoo and Carthage and be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area. Greta, the host was darling and she made sure we had everything we needed. The space was clean and charming. We highly recommend it and hope we can come back!

Charming, Peaceful Area

Our best experience to date! Greta is a wonderful hostess, she thought of everything we might need, and she was as friendly in person as she was when we discussed a couple of things online! The property was beautifully landscaped. The home full of charming items and decorated perfectly. The history of the area is showcased in a book about Nauvoo and the Town Hall has its own history that was in the photo album. A perfect, quiet area to relax, unwind, and get away from the busyness of the day-to-day grind. We really needed this and was so happy with everything!!!! Thank you Greta!

This is our go to spot to unwind from 'city life'. Quiet, remote, and private. Late July was very warm outside, yet it was nice and cool inside. Bed and sofa very comfortable. Robes appreciated. Thank you!

Everything about this property was absolutely amazing!!! Every detail was thought of, down to lavender sachets for the jacuzzi bathtub! Greta even supplied snacks and coffee. This is the perfect place to just escape from it all for a few days!

Cutest farmstay!!

Property was decorated in a warm welcoming manner. Greta was amazingly responsive and helpful. Ambiance was fantastic. So close to Nauvoo if you are traveling to this area we highly recommend! So quaint and Greta thought of everything from snacks to extra toiletries and on and on. One of the best places we’ve stayed!

Repurposed Old Town Hall in the Middle of American Farmland

80th Birthday Celebration

What a fantastic home for my family to come together to celebrate my 80th birthday. Having 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms was just perfect for the 8 of us with room to spare. The kitchen was amazing with everything we needed and the gathering spaces for playing games, reading and conversation were just what we wanted. The proximity to Langley made it so convenient to visit the ice cream parlor, order pizza, etc. Everyone wants to return again. Thanks so much.

Home Away From Home

Greta and her family gave a welcoming and comforting stay! They thought of everything when utilizing the history and space of this amazing old Town Hall. There was literally nothing that I was disappointed in with this listing. It was extremely clean, and they offered so many wonderful perks! I would easily recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet place to feel pampered and relax!
