Good hostel but.....

Hostel was clean, eco friendly, all but one staff member were great, was nice to be able to leave luggage in locker room after checkout until ready to go to airport and the rooms were designed comfortability- only complaints price was a little for not being able to change the settings on the ac/heater settings were locked we asked the front desk to unlock they said no they had to change it we asked them to turn down the ac to 69 was told can only go down to 70 and then she never changed it for us so room was a little too warm insulation not so good in the old building so added to humidity and too warm for us and towels would not dry out becuae of the humidity, internet didnt work so TV wouldn't work either. Would stay again truthfully if price was lower or for the going price if could control ac/heater and tv and internet worked.

Uncomfortable

Too many hoops to jump through and the air was not working properly. It was hot in our room and the air remained on 65 but 77 in our room. For $940 for the night, Superbowl or not, it could have been better. Plus we had to park almost half a block away and walk with luggage. The hotel said parking available. It needs to specify on the hotel website that it is not on the grounds. We will not stay there again.

Super Bowl 2025

It was a hostel. We stayed in room 409. Has its own bathroom. Worth extra cost. Was just like a hotel. Safe and excellent and great location.

It was okay. The only thing great about it was the bed was extremely comfy so there is that. There was no where to put my big duffle bag so that is something to improve on is have bigger spaces to lock up bigger bags because of the middle aged men in my room trying going through my duffle bag.

First Hostel experience

This was my first time at a hostel. I think the hostel experience depends on who ends up in your room. Unfortunately the women in my room did not abide by the quiet hours. Some even coming in the room at 2 a.m. turning the lights on and drinking alcohol and eating while others are trying to sleep. I think the experience would be better if rules were implemented and enforced for the best experience for guests. If individuals would like to eat and drink they should go to the kitchen or lobby. Bathrooms were big as they offered small items people may have forgotten. Some of the bathrooms were messy and guests did not adhere to the cleaning requests on the back of the bathroom door.

The hostel is impressively modern, new, and beautifully designed. My private room, featuring one full bed and two bunk beds, was surprisingly spacious and well-appointed. Both the room and the bathroom were sleek and contemporary. The location is another standout feature, being conveniently close to the French Quarter, which is perfect for exploring the area. I also appreciated the option to store luggage in lockers before check-in, which added to the convenience. The communal kitchen and dining area, complete with a large fridge, is a nice touch for those who want to prepare or store food. However, there were notable drawbacks. While the provided breakfast (boiled eggs, unsweetened cereal, and bread) was underwhelming, this isn’t a dealbreaker since the French Quarter offers plenty of dining options. My biggest concern was the lack of cleanliness during my three-night stay. The hostel refused to clean the room, citing staff shortages, and the hallways were often overflowing with trash, accompanied by a lingering unpleasant smell. Overall, this hostel has a lot of potential due to its modern amenities and prime location, but the lack of cleanliness and maintenance was disappointing. A stronger focus on housekeeping would make this place truly outstanding.

No complaints about this conveniently placed home away from home in the heart of Downtown New Orleans. Always enjoy my stays here and with a genuinely friendly and welcoming staff, as well as an almost guranteed meeting of other guests that come from various parts of the world, you may very well find yourself making at least a few friemds by the end of your stay. Bonus points for the fully stocled kitchen and daily breakfast, and also for the attached restaraunt next door. A perfect gem of a hostel that is hidden in plain sight, just a trolley away from the Mississippi River and Bournom Street! :)
