Historic and comfortable
Beautifully restored historic home just minutes from Bourbon street but so quiet. So charming and so precious I almost don’t want to say nice things bc I don’t want the place flooded by people 😂 I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in NOLA!

Great service
Great service. One AC in the room was not working. They upgraded my room no questions asked. Very accommodating. Location is perfect. Steps from Bourbon St but once your inside the hotel it’s peaceful.

The property is not quite what we expected, but it was an enjoyable stay and a historic place to stay. We did not think that it was a historic site and thought it was more of a hotel. While we did enjoy our stay, it did not have the type of amenities of a normal hotel. If your are looking for a historic place that has more of a bed and breakfast feel, you will love this place.

We enjoyed this property so much. They have three kitties that welcome you when you walk in which we absolutely loved. Well behaved. They don’t bother you unless you bother them. The hotel is so unique and had great charm. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean. Would absolutely stay here again. We enjoyed chatting with Finn Sunday night he was super friendly and sweet.

Fabulous Hotel
We were there during the terrorist attack on Bourbon Street. The staff was incredible during this time. The property felt like a second home, rather than a sterile hotel. I would highly recommend this property.

There's a lot to like about this hotel. First, the hotel is unique, is fun to walk around and explore, and each room is unique. The coffee bar, water bottles, biscotti and tangerines were great to have available in the morning. Also, we liked the three hotel cats. The staff is friendly, and we had an especially great experience with John at the front desk. We were staying there when there was the terrorist attack on 1/1/25, and there was a lockdown; John helped ensure everyone was calm and helped make people comfortable. It's also easy to quickly get to many of the locations in the French Quarter that would be of interest. There were a couple of issues: during our stay, housekeeping didn't do anything with our room (except for replacing two washcloths with two dirty ones that may have been a mistake); our room had a lot of maintenance needs like the toilet kept running, faucet kept dripping, and other various small repairs/touchups needed on the walls and furniture; and our room was on the street so there was lots of noise at night (although that's probably to be expected).

WONDERFUL CHARM IN THE QUARTER
Best way to describe this place is unique, charming and eclectic. Wonderful ambiance and the rooms were great. Very comfortable bed, great bathrooms. Staff was incredibly helpful. We were there during the tragic events of the New Orleans New Year's Eve and the staff did a wonderful job of handling all the circumstances that arose. Will definitely stay there again

Faded Beauty, Well-Preserved
If you’re the sort that travels with a blacklight, white inspection gloves, and your own duvet, you’ll hate this place. If you like exceptional atmosphere and an architectural connection to the past in a city that is itself a faded beauty, you can’t do better. There are inconveniences; the sole elevator was designed when Americans didn’t consume a whole ox for breakfast. Repairs to cosmetic things like thresholds or mirror-placements are often home-made and imprecise while repairs to architecture and structure are exact. The carpet might be a bit stained and the place dusty and the valet parking a whirlwind of chaos. There’s no room service. But we were delighted with the preservation of Creole history. Furniture and decor are authentic or at least plausibly early 19th century. The place rambles through galleries, parlors, multiple courtyards, balconies, and corridors. A pair of cats keep watch downstairs. (I’m not kidding. There are hotel cats.) Olivier House is a family operation, not regulated down to the soap placement by some corporation. The staff know and love New Orleans, the house, and some history.

A true NOLA experience. Quirky and amazing!
This hotel is a perfect fit if you want the true New Orleans experience! The building is over 200 years old. It is old world charm, quirky nooks, beautiful old furniture, creepy paintings and 30 steps from Bourbon Street how can you ask for better in New Orleans? If and when I go back to NOLA I will be staying here again!!! It was awesome. Perfect location, comfortable beds and complementary tea, coffee, water and a snack. If you are looking for character and the NOLA experience, I give this 8 Thumbs up! Oh, and the house Cats are an added bonus.
