We had a great 5 night stay at TownePlace Suites. The property is centrally located - perfect for exploring Manhattan by foot or metro. The staff were friendly, accommodated a late checkout and overall very communicative. The property is modern, clean, and there were nice touches like tea/coffee in the lobby and breakfast buffet each morning. The only complaint is the elevators - long wait times meant we usually took the stairs as we were only 8 floors up. We would stay here again!

Location is excellent and you can walk to most attractions or take the subway right in the corner. The staff is very friendly. Genesis was outstanding. Friendly, helpful, and very professional. Hotels need more like him! Some rooms have great views like ours but they are super tiny. Feels like most hotels in Paris. Lobby is mostly crowded and sometimes one of the doors has to be closed due to the number of luggages from large groups covering the entrance. Isn’t that a fire hazard? Besides that, housekeeping personnel were adorable and they keep the room very clean. Room doors are very heavy and you hear the banging over and over when closing. Overall, I would stay there again for the location, service, staff, and cleanliness.

A door was noisily banged shut right outside our room several times every night. The room, supposed to be, suite, was so ridiculously small that my husband and I could barely walk around the room without banging into something. The heat, when on, made so much noise, we had to shut it off at night, and this was on very cold nights. The parking was so expensive and so far away we had to pay an additional amount for a taxi, just to get to the parking garage. Waiting 45 minutes for the valet parking was not always an option for us. The waiting time for the elevator was too long; I waited a 1/2 hour one morning, I’m not exaggerating. We were on the fifth floor and doing all those flights of stairs was not an option for me as I walk with a cane and I am 73 years old and not well. Needless to say, all of these negative things ruined our vacation that we had planned and excitedly looked forward to for a year. I saw all these wonderful reviews and a fantastic rating, I thought for sure, this was going to be a great place to stay. How wrong and disappointed I was. Needless to say, we will not be staying at your hotel again.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel in New York! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the check-in and check-out process were so smooth and pleasant. The location was perfect, and the breakfast was excellent. The view of the New York buildings from the window was absolutely fantastic! I would definitely love to visit again next time!

Amazing hotel will be coming back!!

Lovely hotel. Location very convenient but quiet. Breakfast perfect! Hotel staff couldn’t do more to help including free early check in and holding luggage on last day. Room spacious and very clean. Only downfall air conditioning quite noisy.

Looking at some recent reviews before going I was beginning to wonder if I’d picked the right hotel however we enjoyed our 6 night stay and would stay again. Our room on 17th floor was comfortable and cleaned daily with fresh towels provided, shout out and thanks to Elsa and Christo in housekeeping 🌟. The room was compact but it was all we needed as we didn’t spend much time in the room. Location was perfect, the subway line we used most was 2 minutes away at the end of the street, good not having far to walk late at night. The room had a safe, microwave, fridge and tea/coffee maker. Breakfast was fine, it included bagels (gluten free too), muffins, cereal, eggs, yoghurt, fresh and dried fruit. Ideal for a quick breakfast and they had takeout boxes so you could grab and go if didn’t have time to sit in. Yes it was busy but earlier times were marginally quieter. The lifts could take a while but I guess any hotel would be the same given number of floors. I found staff to be courteous at all times. Our flight home was not until evening and we were able to leave our cases at the hotel leaving us free to continue exploring until we had to leave for the airport.

Great place to stay in New York subway just at the end of the street so access to all of New York on your door step. Lovely and clean. hotel lovely decorated, staff we met were all friendly and super helpful. rooms are a little on the small side but ok for two people any more and you'd find it a bit of a squash, great to have a small kitchenette. Hotel gave us an upgrade and decorated our room as we where celebrating our 50th birthdays. Great hotel will be booking again if we return to New York.

Room was very small. Barn door for bathroom doesnt offer much privacy when staying in the room with someone else. Elevators weren't working properly (15 minute wait for an elevator, had to walk down from the 9th floor).

I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience due to the heating issues. The heater in our first room was broken—it kept blowing cold air and was incredibly loud. The room was freezing cold, making it impossible to feel comfortable. To their credit, the hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. They promptly changed our room after we raised the issue, but sadly, the second room wasn’t much better. It felt like the heater in that room wasn’t working at all, leaving us cold throughout our stay. While I appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the overall experience was disappointing because of the heating problems.

The room was cold. The thermostat didn’t seem to adjust to a desirable temperature. My husband and I visited the first week of January. The staff was lovely, our room was clean and it was a plus to have breakfast available daily.
