I got stuck staying a night in Newark when my flight got cancelled. The Crown Plaza was near the airport and had a free shuttle. The room was very nice and the staff was helpful. It took forever (30 minutes) to check in though as they were swamped because of the cancelled flights. Not too much in walking distance but the hotel did have its own bar and cafe. If in a similar situation I’d be willing to stay there again.

Unfortunately, we were forced to stay close to the airport, because of arrival and departure timings. The staff were friendly and the food more adequate. On departing the lift was broken forcing us to carry our baggage down 6 floors without assistance. Not a happy experience as husband had suffered a Stroke.

issues and questions were dealt with quickly and amazingly accomodating. i wish there were better food options. coffee shop had nothing neutral like tuna it was all meat. restaurant should offer some pasta they had a vegggie burger i think and salmon if one doesnt eat meat. ceasar salad was great. service was amazing!!!
