What a lovely place. The staff couldn’t be more pleasant and helpful. Great location, right on the beach! Great for dining, shopping and especially for walking along the boardwalk! The views were fabulous and you could see all the morning surfers! My only disappointment was the noise level at night to try to sleep… if you had the windows open for the cool breeze. It’s not the hotels fault, but cars racing, sirens, voices, street cleaner at 5:11 am, made for a very rough first night. Shut the windows, it helped somewhat.

A delightful victorian inn on the shore of the Pacific ocean. It's unique, comfortable, personal and convenient to many different shops, restaurants and the beach. Staff welcomed my early arrival (unexpected by me, thought I would drop my bags and go for a walk until check-in) and were pleasant and helpful. It was a pleasant stay!

Nice but a little noisy

It is a wonderful location overlooking the ocean. It is a little noisy being right next to the main beach parking lot. Also our room was right across from the lobby check in and you can hear the gal talking on the phone and to people like she is in the room. Not as private as we are used to.

Great location on the beach and close to dining options. Staff was friendly and rooms were very quaint. The only negative was the late night street racing and loud race style (loud muffler) cars that were running thru the parking lots @3a every night.

We loved our stay at the Doryman! The staff was very friendly and helpful. It’s conveniently located and plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance, not to mention the beautiful ocean view! We will for sure stay here again.

Well located, unique boutique hotel

Great location, friendly staff and unique rooms. As noted in other reviews, there can be some noise on weekends. We knew this going in and enjoyed our stay. On Sunday morning, there was a nice farmer’s market outside the door at the pier. If you are looking for cookie-cutter rooms, this is not the place for you. Included parking is a big bonus.
