Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
On the positive side the location, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is spectactular with the sea, the mountain, and remarquable villas on the peninsula.
The Hotel/Resort has some cool 60's brutalist architecture and nice sunset views from the terrace. That said, given the potential of profiting from and updating these resources the current management has not updated their vision. The buildings, despite cosmetic renovations in the rooms, need significant restoraton. Our suite had ants crawling all over it. The shower smelled of odor coming from the toilet. The breakfast room was sweltering and the food somewhat mediocre. We were supposed to have full room and board and could not add lunch and dinner after our arrival according to the staff. This was a blessing in disguise as the one dinner we had turned out to be more like cantine food than a restaurant.
The staff could be rather rude at times.
To sum up, with a little vision and money this could be a fantastic place. A sort of retro/hipster oasis like so many renovated hotels in Austin and New York. For the moment though it is just poorly managed and maintained.
