I think the property is a good value for what it is. It is not on the beach and is about a 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach with very limited access to beach chairs and space that is reserved for this hotel. It is right at the end of the main section of town and has heavy traffic outside of the hotel, listening to cars most of the night. This property appears to be a condo/hotel type property and feels more like a condominium than a hotel. It’s great to be able to have two bedrooms however the furnishings were bare minimum. The staff was a 10 out of 10 and did everything they could for you. The rooftop was a great place to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks, but the food and kitchen were subpar. They made an effort to offer a New Year’s Eve buffet and New Year’s brunch, but it did not appear that many people signed up for the large expense. The second bedroom has a window facing the hallway and is very loud as people come back to their rooms. And I don’t know if it was just our room or a building issue, but it seems as though there might be a venting problem as in the middle of the day our room would just smell like the sewer for no reason. And then it would go away other days. This is nothing that the staff could deal with, but just something to be aware of if you have other options. The concierge and front desk staff were 10 out of 10. It is difficult to find chairs at the pool by 10 AM. The rooftop pool was very cold.

The hotel is very very clean. We booked a pool view but received an island view. This was upsetting because we paid more for a pool view. As a compensation, they gave us breakfast each morning. There were not many options for people with allergies unfortunately. They did provide one option everyday for my son but everything else in the buffet he could not have. The jacuzzi is not as warm as it should be. The pool is absolutely freezing. Aruba is very windy and it is very hard to swim when the pool is so cold. The beach water is much warmer. Getting chairs at the beach side is very difficult unless you go at 6:30 am, which is not ideal for vacation time. Although we thought this was a VIP access hotel for Expedia members, they told us it was only for people who booked through Travel Zoo not Expedia. This was unfortunate. The staff are kind and friendly. The hotel rooms are kept very clean and the pool area is also very clean. The hotel is centrally located. 5 minute walk to the beach and many dining options around the hotel. It was a good trip but I don’t think I’d stay here next time we come to Aruba because palm beach is over crowded now and there is little chance of getting beach chairs so not ideal. In addition, we were not provided with VIP access so that was disappointing since we book hotels in order to have the VIP access and treatment.

Wonderful Return Stay
This is a wonderful property in Aruba that we have stayed at multiple times. The room is very spacious. There is a small kitchen area with a microwave, coffee machine, fridge, freezer, and a couple of glasses. The daily room cleaning did a great job cleaning the room and ensuring that we always have coffee pods. We look forward to returning to this property again in the future. The pool areas are wonderful. Our favorite area is the Adults only Infinity Pool. We did notice on this trip that a few of the loungers need to be replaced. We were very happy to see the new umbrellas and shaded areas that were installed around the main pool.

My only complaints are the water wasn’t as hot as a liked it. But to be fair I didn’t tell them until check out I thought it was just an island thing. They upgraded me to ocean view which was super nice. The food could be better. It’s by far not the worst but could be better. Overall i absolutely loved it and will be back.

When we went to our room the sofa was dingy and dirty I took pictures. So after complaining they moved us to another room but my question why would you even consider putting someone in there under that condition. Christmas they had a buffet for 80.00 person, the food was cold and it tasted awful. I will never recommend Radison Blu to anyone. The staff was very friendly but it’s really overpriced for what you get. Bottom line it was not worth it

The hotel has subcontracted out their food and beverage service. You are directed to their 3rd floor resturant. It overlooks an infinity pool with a lovely view. The food is something similar to prison food at top notch prices. Compared to a Motel 6 breakfast, the Motel 6 is fine dining. Breakfast if you can call it that, includes eggs made with Egg Beaters, tastless bread and the most scimpy buffet possible. If they can ruin it, they have already thought of it. Although, if you ask in the hotel where to eat, conveinently they forget to mention that there is a wonderful independant coffee shop 5 feet from the front door.
