Good enough

Is there a mild sugar ant problem? Yes. Is it just a room in an apartment instead of the entire apartment like we thought? Yes, but you’re really not going to be spending a lot of time here anyway. There’s lots of bus stops nearby that can take you to NYC for cheap, and the VRBO itself is very cheap. You’re not paying for a hotel so don’t expect it to be hotel quality.There’s access to a fridge and to a bathroom with good water pressure and the VRBO host was very kind. Overall, not a bad stay at all.

Unprepared Awkwardness

1. Unprepared to be walking into a home shared with MULTIPLE guests. Was not disclosed in description of property listing.2. No clean towel, all towels seemed used n wet. 3. There were lots of ants crawling on the ceiling, bed n bed board.4. AC wasn’t fully functioning in our room, the entired house was cool but our room was super hot.5. Internet signal cut off n tv restarted itself a few times. The stay was very awkward knowing there were others in the house, this was suppose to be a romantic getaway but felt very Uncomfortable n weird. Next time make sure put (shared home/bathroom with other guests) in the description. Thanks

Clean room but wrong check in instructions, long bathroom waits, and gas smell in house

The room is very clean and the common areas are clean but there are 2 other rooms you have to share it with. That's up to 6 people for one bathroom (2 per room). The host also provided the wrong check-in instructions so we took the wrong room key initially and could not lock our room before going out. I reached out to the host to exchange for the correct keys and the host acknowledged their mistake but never followed up on how or when to obtain the correct keys. We had to figure it out on our own. The house also smelled like gas so we had to leave the windows open constantly and close the heating vents.

This property is a room with many amenities. There's access to a living area and kitchen, which is a nice addition if you want to cook. In the room, the bed was clean and towels were provided. There's a TV and AC for entertainment and comfort. The house itself was easy to find, kept clean and felt like a home away from home. There's a nearby park that is very spacious and in a serene area (nice running spot)! All in all, it's a great space in a quiet neighborhood.

I arrived at the property and found no key in the lockbox. I had to wait on the steps for about 20 minutes until the host arrived. He explained that the cleaner had taken the key I was supposed to have, and he needed to make a copy. I assumed he would give the key back to me directly, but instead, he placed it in the lockbox without informing me.During my stay, another guest at the property left the door open, which caused confusion as they didn't recognize me. Additionally, almost every time I attempted to leave or return to the property, other guests were on the stairs smoking, which was far from the quiet and cozy atmosphere I expected.The room itself was nice, and it served its purpose as a place to sleep and have my last meal of the night. However, the overall experience was marred by the issues with the key and the lack of a truly serene environment due to other guests' behavior.
