Location great. Unit was disgusting. Old and musty, beds are uncomfortable and were full of crumbs due to sheets not being changed. One bed had a huge wet spot. Urine smell in bathrooms. Dirty towels were stuffed inside of vanities and in washing machine unwashed. Refrigerator was full of food. Trash not taken out. Countertops and dinning table was sticky and covered in food and crumbs. Floors covered in layers of sand. No hot water for showers. The list goes on. It was late discovering all of the mess day of check in. All 8 of us made due and slept on top of the beds with our blankets. We, my 71 year old mother, husband and I got up at 5am went to Walmart bought cleaning supplies and cleaned the unit ourselves. Washed all sheets and towels. I called our contact person and she claims she was never notified by the owner that the unit was rented. Have only offered to refund our cleaning fee. If I was an owner I would have been MORTIFIED that my guest had to walk into those conditions. Plus the guarantee of "Our homes come with the promise of standards, meaning you’ll always arrive at a place that’s meticulously clean and as great as you saw online. Our cleaning teams are taking additional steps right now to sanitize and disinfect each home to suggested CDC standards." NEVER did we hear from the owner. The cleaner offered to come BUT had to contact owner first I said no it's been done, not the cleaners fault. A person did come to fix the hot water tank SATURDAY evening after we all had our showers. The most stressful exhausting and embarrassing so called vacation.
