Perfect location away from the bustling 7 mile beach. Adjacent to Rum Point beach with a peaceful beach and great food and drinks. The condo was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Mary supplied us with great tips on attractions, food shopping and restaurants. Would absolutely return and recommend highly!

Relaxing beach vacation
Very comfortable condo perfect for the two of us with a private beach on quiet side of the island. Great restaurant next door at Rum Point club. We loved the bioluminescence tour and snorkeling and stingray city. This area is calm and friendly. The property has a water view and is very pleasant, although it is set back and not directly on the beach.Mary was an excellent host and made the process easy! We would not hesitate to return for another stay on Grand Cayman. Thank you, Mary!

Christmas at Rum Point
Stayed here over Christmas with my husband. Great location- Rum Point, Kaibo, Starfish Point. Best to rent a car to get around, buy groceries. Stairs up to 3rd floor. Need to be mobile. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect!
Vacay Kai was the perfect spot for us. After spending some time on the busier side of the island (7-mile beach), we wanted to enjoy the quieter side. The condo has a beautiful view of the sea & is right next to Rum Point (beach, bar, restaurant, boat excursions, etc). The condo was beautiful & clean & had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Mary was a great hostess & very responsive to any questions we had. We can’t wait to come back again!!

Amazing Vacation Rental
Great place to spend your downtime on the island... I loved looking out at the beach from the screened in balcony. Has more than just the essential amenities (washer+dryer, beach supplies,kitchen utensils, etc.). Walking distance to Rum Point Beach with food and full bar. Would definitely stay again!

If you don't want the large crowds found on Seven Mile Beach this is the place. The unit was clean, had everything we needed except a pair of scissors (haha) but we managed. This is quiet location. You can rent jet skis next door from Red Sail. Beautiful sunsets from the pier. The snorkeling is ok under the pier. There is a turtle out by the pier and a stingray would swim by on occasion. The pool is nice. Whoever is in charge of the beach chairs need to put out a few more; 8 chairs was not enough for the number of people staying at the complex. You will need to rent a car. A negative for me was the 4:00 check-in; it would be nice if it was at least 3:30. It was about 3:30 when we got there; we walked around the complex and talked to one of the other occupants until 4:00.

The unit was roomy and quite comfortable. It was incredibly stocked with kitchen and cooking items, plenty of beach items and towels too. It was very clean and well kept. Our stay was cut short because of hurricane Beryl, our first two days we didn’t use the pool because they had to shock it the day we arrived, it was very cloudy so we didn’t feel comfortable getting In. I think they had rain before we arrived, so that was my guess for the pool condition. Mary was the most wonderful person to deal with and she was so great about keeping us informed about the approaching hurricane and what the local government was likely to do with water and power as well as airport information. She definitely gets a five star rating!!! If you want pristine beaches, you’ll have to drive to Seven Mile beach, the swim areas near the condo have some rocky entrance areas and a fair amount of vegetation growing near shore. I was still able to snorkel and swam with a pretty good sized turtle and saw lots of fish around the pier.

Thank you Mary! Your recommendations and quick response was so appreciated. Your island home is very special! Location! & North side is the place to be. Loved having Rum Point Beach and Red Sail sports. We could walk to snorkel, eat, catch a boat, swim & enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Retreat. Quiet!!!! Relaxing and we felt like we had our own pool. We LOVED Tukka, Kaibo, Over the Edge and Solis for meals. Our highlight was the Bioluminescent Boat tour by Cayman Kayaks. DON’T miss a stingray trip it’s a once in a lifetime experience. The condo has everything we needed. Can’t wait to come back to Cayman Kai đŸïžđŸïžđŸïž Will & Lisa Parker Colorado.

Rum Point Retreat
We love this property! We stayed in this same area in 2020, and believe it to be the best area on the island. The Retreat is easy to get to, parking is a breeze, the view is fantastic. The one bedroom was perfect for us. Absolutely loved the ability to walk right out to the beach. Also a great assortment of snorkel gear was a super amenity. The Perfect Spot!
Location, location, location! The Retreat at Rum Point is perfect. Beautiful beaches, wonderful snorkeling, gorgeous sunsets, and (quite literally) next door to drinking and dining opportunities. The condo was well-appointed, very comfortable and had everything (including the view!) one would need for a wonderful stay. We can't wait to go back.

We had a nice view of the water; the unit was the perfect size for us, with a large bedroom so that it felt very spacious. Plenty of towels. We made use of the snorkeling gear. We loved staying at Rum Point, it was so calm and so much to do. We ate at Rum Point Club our first night and it was very good. The owners were very responsive and excellent recommendations on things to do and where to eat. We’d stay here again!

Great place. Great location.
My wife and I (60 years old) loved this third-floor condo and its location. It's about a 45-minute drive from the airport and Georgetown which we found to be over-crowded. This condo had a beautiful beach and blue waters. And there were 2-3 great restaurants nearby. If we make it to GC again, we'll stay at this condo. And communication with the owner was great. Thank you.

Anniversary Getaway
Nice, relaxing location, Great secluded beaches right there, plus great snorkeling .The ability to see clear views of the sunrise and sunset from the beach was amazing. Lots of information for restaurants and things to do was provided ahead of time by the host, which gives you enough time to check things out prior to getting there. It's an easy drive from the airport, especially considering switching to driving on the left side was a bit intimidating.

10 Night Cayman Getaway @ the Retreat in Rum Point! 9/20/23-9/30/23
This trip was simply amazing! Mary is absolutely a wonderful host. She was very responsive and helpful. Her condo was very clean, well kept, and quiet. In fact, so quiet most days we felt like we were on a private island. Snorkeling at the point was amazing. We did have to drive to 7-mile/West Bay for some of our excursions, which was to be expected. The drive was not bad, but had to plan ahead for it. Some places were 30-50 minutes away. We did not mind that, we enjoyed being on the remote side of the island. There was still plenty to do and eat. Every morning we would snorkel at the point where we saw so much life at the marine park, a nurse shark multiple times, turtles, a ton of different fish, a lionfish, 6+ foot stingray. It was amazing. Starfish point was a short 3 minute drive, which was also very remote. Rum Point Restaurant is open now, and although a bit pricey, their Rum Slides ($14 CI) are to die for. Seriously the best drink on the island. It is only a 30 second walk there from the condo. They also have a cute little gift shop next door. Over the edge was one of my favorite meals and chocolate cake on the island. Must do excursions- horseback riding in West Bay with Nikki. Stingray city, although a bit intimidating at first, I would have been seriously sad if I missed out on this awesome experience. We used Red Sail Sports Catamaran which picked us up right on Rum Point Pier. Swimming with the dolphins was a great experience at Dolphin Discovery in West Bay.
